The next morning my mom and I spent the entire day packing the house up. It was hard taking everything in. I was never gonna see this house again. I was moving to another country. I was scared as hell. What is no one liked me? What if I never saw anyone again? What about my friends? I took a deep breath and got myself together.

"Courtney!" my mom yelled from the other room. "Come here" I ran up the stairs and I found my mother in the doorway of her room. She had a present. It was wrapped in pink paper and it had a blue polka dot bow on the top.

"I got you something. Because I knew how hard a time you were having" she smiled at me. That was the first time I had seen her smile In a long time. I opened the present and inside was the most beautiful necklace. It was silver and sparkly and it had a "c" on the loop. I hugged her so tight.

"Thank you I love it" she took it from me and put it around my neck. "You look so grown up" she said smiling. She was almost crying. She walked out the door and I continued to pack my things.
