After three days all the cash we had was gone, spend on hotels food and gasoline.

I was sitting next to Luke in the car wish he had parked next to KFC.

"Let's just ask if they've got a job for us to do?" Luke mumbled. I nodded.

"But you know I still have enough money on my bank account right?" I asked making sure.

"That's for the moving in part of our adventure babe."

"Okay." I said as we left the car and Luke made sure it was locked. I yawned still tired from last nights' nap in the uncomfortable car seat.

As we entered KFC we asked for a job Luke chatted with the manager for a bit as I nervously waited standing next to him. The manager seemed to be okay with us cleaning so that was what we did.

We planned to be doing this for a week straight as this job wasn't intense nor exhausting at all.

It was day three and my phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out looking at the screen my eyes widening.

mom: good afternoon mia we love & miss you a lot, hope this message is able to make it to you

I gasped nudging Luke in the side.

"Luke!" Luke looked up from the toilet he was cleaning as his eyes widened.

"Just reply, give them what they want to hear and get back to helping me." I nodded in agreement.

m: hi mom, I love and miss you both too. I'm enjoying the adventure !

Following I helped Luke until our shift was over.

We sat outside in the sun and waited, for what exactly? We weren't ensured of whether we were waiting for money or more time here together. Right now I was waiting for nothing. Maybe for a nap.

I suddenly got a kiss on my cheek as I was staring at the cars passing by. Luke wrapped his arms around my waist.

"We're almost in Sydney, I couldn't be happier."

"We just cleaned the men's toilets."

"I'd do anything for us." He smiled our hand intertwining.
