~Origins~

Nerissa Kirke was a mystery and a half to the surrounding town near the Kirke Manor. How her father disappeared as soon as he turned 18 and then three years later Henry Kirkes baby girl turns up out of the blue with no trace of her parents, so it's safe to say the towns people had questions and to fill in the blanks rumours were started. The lies would consist of, Professor Kirke lying that the girl is Henry's daughter, that Nerissa was a random baby left on Diggory's doorstep, Henry had a child out of wedlock with his mysterious lover, or that Henry wanted nothing to do with his daughter. But there was one universal thing the towns people could agree on and that was the fact that Henry Arther Kirke, the boy that they once knew, was dead. He loved his father too much, and the towns people all the more, to never come home and visit and then the war hit so naturally people assumed that if he was alive he was fighting, knowing the man he became he would've been on the front lines fighting for what he believed in.

And that would be correct if the towns people knew of the magical land through the wardrobe in the spare room of the Kirke Manor and the war that's raging between its people and the witch, then they would've been correct. But alas they lived in blissful ignorance, unaware of the pain and torment that the Narnias were facing, that Nerissa's other bloodline is facing. You see Henry didn't just fall for any girl, he fell for one of the mermaid princesses of Narnia, Odette. Her beauty and voice is what initially drew Henry to the bitter cold shores of Narnia, but her kindness and hope is what stole his heart. These are traits that she passed onto her daughter. Her golden blonde hair, ethereal beauty and siren like voice all traits that Nerissa inherited.

However, there are also traits of Henry within the little girl. Her disobedient, troublemaking personality along with her bright blue eyes they were in fact, All Henry. So despite what the towns people would whisper, Diggory never let Nerissa forget that her parents loved her with every fibre of their being and she is equal parts her parents.

Currently Padding around the Kirke Manor Library, a girl with hair like the sun was looking through the bookshelves for something to busy her mind, when she stumbles across an older looking book tucked away into a small wooden box. Pulling the book out of the crate the girls blue eyes scan the golden letters as she spells out the words, The Secret Garden, furrowing her brows in curiosity the small girl stood up turning the book over onto its side and looking at the intricate golden patterns on the spine. Sitting in one if the large armchairs by the fire, she opened the book and began absorbing the words, getting list in the flurry of phrases as her imagination run wild. And that is how Nerissa Kirke fell asleep that night, curled up in an armchair in her nightgown and robe with a book on her lap, unaware that her life will soon go through a dramatic change
