~War~

Third Person:
German plains soared over London. Dropping cans of destruction as they went leaving a path of destruction and ruins of the homes bellow. As sirens sound people run for cover, racing to their shelters, there is a dark haired boy at his living room window watching this all happen. "Edmund! Get away from there" his mother shrieked "Peter" she called and a taller blonde boy comes running in and grabbing onto the younger boy.

Upstairs a brunette girl runs in her room to in a frantic search for something, a torch, and sees her younger sister in bed crying terrified od the events to come "Lucy come on" the older girl shouts helping her sister out of bed and running down stairs hand in hand to meet the others. "Go to the shelter" their mother shouts to her children, trying to rush them before they dont make it through this air raid. Half way to the shelter Edmund turns around "Wait Dad" he mumbles in realisation as he runs back to the living room. "Edmund" his mother shouts but it's no use. "I'll get him" Peter shouts sprinting after his younger brother. "Peter" their mother calls but its no use so she climbs into the shelter with her two daughters on the bed.

Meanwhile Edmund has run in the house and grabbed the photo of his father. "Ed" Peter shouts "Get down" he pulls him down as a bomb goes off outside the front of the house shattering the window. "Come on" Peter screams yanking Edmund along with him while he runs into the shelter and throws him in. "WHY DONT YOU THINK ABOUT ANYONE BUT YOURSELF YOUR SO SELFISH. YOU COULD'VE GOT US KILLED" Peter shouts at the top of his lungs his face red with anger. "Stop it" his mother Says sternly turing to nurture the younger boy while Peter slams the door shut.

Lucy's pov:
We were walking through the train station with mother. Other familys calling to each other saying their goodbyes. I don't want to leave home. I love our house, My room and its pink floral walls, my soft sheets with the pink and blue stitching. "You need to keep this on darling " mum explains pinning my label to my coat. "Warm enough?" she asks. I just nod and give her a hug not having the energy or in a good mood to respond. "Good girl" she say back to me, pulling away to give the others their labels.

Edmund seemed to be in a foul mood today, which is understandable but it gets old "the country's boring" he grumbles his face looking as though he'd had his toys taken away on Christmas, or if I took the last ration he wanted. "Boring is safe Edmund" Susan replies taking on mothers role already, just urking Edmund on as he says "If dad were here he wouldn't make us go". Peter scoffed at the mention of our father and retaliating to Edmund " If dad Were here it'd mean the war was over and we wouldn't have to go" he scolds in his most grown up voice he could muster. I can't believe we haven't left Finchley yet and there already arguing. Mum noticed this to apparently and butted in with "You will listen to your brother won't you Edmund" Fat chance of that I thought while rolling my eyes. When Mum goes to give him a hug and a kiss he pulls away. I get hes upset but he doesnt have to take it out on mum.

Instead of persist and cause more upset she just kisses the top of his head and moves onto Peter hugging him and says "promise you'll look after the others". At this he looks like he's gonna cry but he holds it in and croaks "I will mum" causing her to smile proudly at him and mutter "Good man". They both looked at each other for a moment as if silently communicating then she turns to to look at Susan who has been death gripping my hand since mother let go of me. I'll probably have sore hands for the rest of the day but as I look up and see Susan silently crying causing me to not mind as much. I still don't like having a sore hand though.

Mum walks up to Susan (she Finally let go of my poor hand) and embracing her tightly says "Susan." Pitifully and continues with "Be a big girl". Great she just gave Susan all the permission she needed to be a bossy know it all that tries to act like mother. As they pull away Susan nods her head and wipes her face. A whistle is blown signalling for us to make out way to the train. "Alright off you go" Mum mutters glumly trying to put on a brave face.

And with that Susan takes mine and Edmunds hand and walks us to the train much to Edmunds disgust as he yells "hey get off me I know how to get on a train myself. get off me" at Susan. We get to the ticket check and The ticket lady says "may I have your tickets please". But Peter seems out of it like he staring into space, and I turn around and see him staring at soldiers walking through the platform "Tickets Please" the lady says again in a very mardy tone. "Peter" hisses Susan she snatches the tickets off of him. The lady looks over the tickets, nods and says "on you go". Walking to the train dog but I wanted to see where mum was so I look behind me much to Peters annoyance "come on Lucy" Peter says crouching down "we have to stick together now" I stop crying your little as he curry's on saying "everything's going to be alright. It's going to be fine".

As we get on the train and we look for a door or window to try and see mother and say goodbye one last time we get one of the doors and see her looking for us and we start shouting and waving by that we love her as the train starts pulling out the station and I Shout "BYE" for last time before she vanishes as the train leaves the platform.
