'" Alright, fine. Tell me where it is.'

The girl grinned from her well, teeth shining brighter than her cream-tinted hair.

Jungkook brushed off the dust from his shoulders, having the motley return to its original dark shade. Although, he would've probably been better off without doing so, for he was protected by dark soil and burnt roses the color of charcoal within the castle walls. However, in the sandy dunes, Jeon Jungkook stood out as if, well, as if he were the shadow to the light. A raven against the sun.

The fool's stallion's eyes sunk from dehydration and hunger. With nowhere else to go, Jungkook went back to the girl.

He sighed and sauntered near to the well.

'Alright,' he began, reaching a hand into the inky darkness, 'hold on.'

He felt svelte fingers grab his calloused ones, struggling to pull herself up. He sighed again. Reaching in his other hand, he wrapped it around the girl's waist and lifted her from the well. Jungkook was surprised at how light she was, it felt as if she were a feather barely gracing the surface of a pond.

'There,' Jungkook set her down, 'now, tell me where the well is.'

Jeon Jungkook was not a patient man. Nor was he a particularly kind one, at that. Of course, that changes later. But for now, he wouldn't hesitate to leave a girl stranded in the deserts to obtain what he wanted. But you see, she wasn't about to let him go that easily.

'Well,' her fingers twiddled with themselves, '...I said I knew where the well was...but in truth, I haven't any idea on where exactly it is. I'm no map, you see.'

Jungkook moved to throw her back in the well.

'Wait! Wait! Wait! I said WAIT, you fool!'

Her cries were turned to a deaf ear.

''Milady, my entire profession is being a fool.' He scoffed.

They were two feet away from the well. Then three. Now one. And just as the half foot began to approach, she suddenly flailed about and screamed.

'KIM SEOKJIN!'

Jungkook stopped, a mere three inches away from the well.

'Kim Seokjin.' She stated, this time, calmly.

They stared at each other for some time: one in pure determination and relief that she wasn't going to get dunked in the well, and the other, with pure fascination. Not because what she said was particularly endearing or brilliant. No, it was because Jeon Jungkook thought, "What mad girl had I rescued?!"
