I tried to play it off like nothing was different. But everything had changed.
"I could use a drink" I blurted out.
It was only 1 pm. But I was ready to drink the night away. I had to pretend like nothing was strange.
"Well y/n. We're having a party to welcome you and Bucky to the team tonight if you can wait" Tony announced to the group.
"Can you show me our room" I whispered to Bucky. I didn't want to interact with anyone more than I had to.
Bucky showed me to your room we'd be sharing and told me he was going to talk to the group for a bit. I decided it was best to take a break in your room for nap. I wanted to make myself feel as much as home as possible. But I couldn't stop thinking about Steve.
"Stop it y/n" I mumbled under my breath.
I decided to lay down for a bit. Quite frankly I was feeling sick to my stomach about what had just happened.
I woke up to a knock on the door. Confused i sleepingly opened the door to find the captain himself standing in your door way. Leaning against the doorframe, almost making himself at home.
"I won't tell him" he says to you reassuringly.
"I don't even know what to think." You say confused.
"Well I saw it too. But Buck doesn't need to know" he nodded and walked away.
