Nakidori Sensaina x Hawks
Part 7
The morning was always a time for the birds. The time where they could loudly chirp and call out towards the waking world, letting them all know a new day was upon them and that it was time for everyone to start their day.
But, not everyone was a morning person, and Nakidori, despite her bird-like features was certainly not one of them. One of the many reasons why her agency didn't start until ten in the morning was because she hated with a passion anytime before nine am. Even eight am was a stretch at times... but alas, the world of adults seemed to have decided early mornings were the best place and time for jobs to begin.
She had tried to accommodate herself as much as she could, but even so... the female at times just wanted to crawl under the sheets and sleep in till noon like she had all those years in childhood. Weekends were a rare resource it turns out, and now a flourishing adult, Nakidori barely had any chances to sleep in for long.
Today, however, seemed to be one of those days that had decided to gift her with a nice extra hour of sleep. Instead of waking up around ten am on her days off like she usually did, Nakidori instead was up at eleven. She yawned softly, looking towards the window, seeing that the sky was clear and the singing of the birds already brought a feeling of peace towards her.
Turning her head, the female was hoping to snag a glance at her overnight guest. But as she looked where he was supposed to be, she noticed that the spot next to her was empty. Nakidori's eyes widening as she sat up, looking around the room a bit more.
Her heart sinking more and more as she started to see what exactly had become of her room, or rather, what it was lacking. Her clothing was still laying on the floor, no doubt untouched from where it had been flung off last night in that heat of passion. But Hawks' clothes were missing as well.
Nakidori told herself to remain calm, reminding herself that sometimes early morning emergencies were something heroes had to deal with. And thus, she got up, wanting to see if Hawks had at least left a note or even a text message to the female.
There was no way this was a simple single night embrace, right? He had seemed to genuine about wanting to see her more. But then again, as much as she hated to talk about it, or remember it... she had dated assholes before she acted genuine and interested in her only to move on without a word after a one night stand.
Her phone had no notifications on it aside from the mundane updates of various news outlets. It seemed even the underground of villainy had stayed quiet overnight. But no message from Hawks. And the area surrounding her room proved to not have any sort of note either.
Nakidori huffed, the cold breeze from the AC unit kicking on. A shover running down her body. Well, she might as well shower, get dressed, and start whatever tedious work she needed to do at home today before actually enjoying herself.
And maybe a little hot water would help make her a bit more happy this morning, seeing as this wasn't the morning she was expecting. Nakidori strode to her bathroom without a second thought. Her private bathroom luckily attached to her bedroom.
The female sighed contently as she felt the hot water cascade down her body. The temperature was perfect and even her feathers were starting to feel a bit more alive. Her mind was active once more and running through all the things that needed to be done.
Sidekick evaluations, planning for the banquet she was holding next year, not to mention that she needed to RSVP to that pro-hero meeting in the next few months. Ugh... there was too much to do and this was supposed to be her day off.
