Nakidori Sensaina x Hawks
Part 2
Calm days off from work were always one of her favorite occasions, seeing as Nakidori could really do her own thing and not worry about suddenly being called in. Her head sidekick was more than capable of running the office herself today, so Nakidori could sit and just enjoy her little strong through the nature garden located in this small little prefecture.
She was dressed in a nice and cool pink sundress for the day, allowing her scarlet locks to freely flow in the calm breeze that had joined the sunny weather today. She couldn't help but feel at peace as she passed by trees, shrubs on the little dirt path she walked.
A nice day off was always made that much better when the weather was also super nice. Plus, with summer just around the corner, she couldn't help but feel a little giddy at the thought of how soon, most of her days off would be drenched in beautiful weather.
For today though, Nakidori was fine with a small stroll through the city nature park. It wasn't as crowded as it usually was, plus it was one fo her favorite places in the city, thus she felt as if she could get away with a lazy morning before the afternoon that would be filled with her leisurely doing errands she certainly would not have time for later in the week.
And this little forest was the perfect place to truly feel like she had escaped from the usual hustle and bustle of the city. It had been built by the city decades ago in order to increase the number of nature spots and greenery and had quickly become a hot spot for people to come and stroll in or have a picnic in. And even today, the place was as popular as ever.
Nakidori sighed contently, finding a bench in the shade and taking a seat. Her golden eyes catching onto the moving leaves and feeling the breeze against the feathers scattered around her body. She felt calm and serene and couldn't help the feeling of total happiness that filled her when she was in nature.
There was a sudden noise that made her snap her gaze away from the out of reach leaves and towards the ground though, and as she caught onto the sight of what had caused the noise, the red-haired female couldn't help but string to her feet.
The sound had been a rather loud thud at first, but now, the noise was now a constant pained crying. And as Nakidori approached the little fallen creature, she couldn't help but feel her heart squeeze for the little feathered friend before her.
"Shush. It's okay." She tried to comfort the little bird, taking it into her hands gently.
The little baby bird looked terrified and to be suffering from some sort of shock from its fall. Nakidori looked around, trying to find where it had come from. Her eyes soon falling onto a little nest not too far away from where she stood. The nest had two more little baby birds of the same kind inside, and they looked to be rather startled as well. No doubt having realized their sibling had fallen and were crying for the help of their mother who must be off finding food for her young ones.
"It seems like you're trying to use your wings too early." Nakidori sighed, encasing the little bird with her hands and gently allowing her flames to cleanse the injuries and make the little bird feel as good as new.
When she was done and opened her hands once more, she saw the small creature ruffling its feathers as if it had just taken a shower and looking towards Nakidori with a curious expression on its face. Causing the healer to laugh gently and then gently scratch the little bird under its head.
It cooed in happiness, looking to have taken affections to Nakidori quickly. But knowing she needed to get the bird back to their family, Nakidori began to reach upwards to the low hanging nest to return the baby to its siblings. And hopefully before the mother returned and might get the wrong idea of why Nakidori was reaching into her nest and towards her babies.
