Living A Fantasy

chapter 6

Damon looked up to see a gigantic castle with colras and pillers looked like marble and sea shells, sea weed with different flowers. The sight was just magnificent for his eyes, he had never seen anything soo royal and a beautiful castle in his life though he had visited a few palaces.

" you wanna come in or are you gonna just stand and stare at this place " William stated with the least interest while swimming through the huge gates. Damon swan his way through the gates and he found few merman who were well built and were with their Armour on while holding something which he thought was a sphere. As Damon got in the huge place and was trying to digest all the things he just saw, he heard a sweet feminine voice and swam towards the voice without hesitation.

When he got a little closer he saw the princess I the court room talking to William who had worn a worried look. She snapped her neck towards which took Damon unexpected, she signaled him to come closer. He did as she told him and swan and stood next to William, he looked at him cluelessly Damon slowly swam up to William and looked at the mermaid in front of him. She was the princess of the kingdom, she had the beauty of the Perl, simple yet very attractive. Well, all the merman in the kingdom had tried to impress her but well she never showed interest in their doings anyway. Damon was lost in her beauty while on the other hand, William had a worried expression worn on his face. Damon took to his least concern cause he knew even he asked he wouldn't get an answer.

William looked at Damon and put a hand on his shoulder " um.... I got work to do. So the princess here will take you around the castle and show you your room you will be staying in " he stated hesitatingly. Damon just nodded his head in response trying to hide his excitement and happiness. All he wanted to do after he laid eyes on her, was to just spend some time and get to know what is this place and what was their history and know her better and hoped to be friends during his stay.

William left with a bit of rush, and that left the two only standing there alone. Damon turned his head towards the princess and gleamed at her hoping to return a smile but her expression just dropped dead and swan the other way. Damon was not sure what to do so he just stood, " aren't you going to come, or do you want someone to call you personally " the princess stated with a tint of annoyance, damon just followed behind her while she took him to different places inside the enormous castle.

The tour of the castle was quite and Damon was getting bored of what is where and what that was. " I hope you don't mind if I ask your name princess" Damon stated with a very little courage in him. The princess just gave him a stern look before continuing further "Aqua" she stated not giving a glance. Damon looked at her and repeated her name and a small smile crept on his face. " thats a pretty name your highness" Damon stated with flirty tone evident in his voice. " I am not sure if you know my name, I am Damon." Damon stated floating next to her. " everyone living in the ocean know your here and that your a human, so I don't think you need to introduce yourself to me " she explained to him with tiny fake smile.

They came to something which looked like a balcony, damon didn't wait for her but entered the place. He was welcomed with the beautiful view of the entire city and vintage railings. The city looked so bright and alive in his eyes. " this is our city, our home. This is Atlantis, home for many aquatic animals including the mermaids and mermans. " Aqua stated with a proud smile on her face while floating next to Damon who stood in front of the railings. " this place is pretty nice, I can't believe something so beautiful is even underwater and so unknown to us " Damon stated with amazement in his eyes. " yes, it's out of humans reach that's how it's still beautiful. Now tell me truthfully, why are you here? What do you want from us? " Aqua stated as she swam blocking his escape.

Damon looked at her confused by what she meant, " I don't know what your talking about " he stated with a confused look. Aqua scoffed at him and swam closer spoke in rage " you can stop pretending now, and I know why your here. Your here to expose and destroy our lives by bringing filthy humans here " she spat at him. He looked at her in disbelief and was shook by her words. She chuckled and told herself to calm down. " look I don't know what your talking about, cause I am not dumb to fall into the ocean when I don't know swimming and trust me I didn't know mermaids even existed before. And I just want to get out of here, so no harm will be brought by me princess " he stated the last sentence with a cheeky smile.

She didn't want to believe him but by looking at his chocolate brown eyes just made her want to trust him, she backed off and cleared her throat, "um....your room, where you'll be staying at is this way " she headed where a lot of doors where situated and Damon swallowed hard since his throat had gone dry. He took a moment to hit back to reality and when he did, he swam behind Aqua and after passing a few doors she stopped infront a nevy blue door which was half covered with creepers and actually the creepers complemented the dark door.

She pushed open the door and entered the room, which was followed by Damon and as soon as he saw the interior he had his jaw wide open and was completely stunned how welcoming the room looked and was yet so different than the ones he found on land. " shut them before a fish gets in there " Aqua jokes while seeing Damon gaping at the room, this reminded her of a baby mermaid looking at the sunset for the first time. This reminded her of seeing the sunset for the first time with her parents and that was the last time they had spent together as a family. Aqua felt bad remembering that moment and a small smile had crept on her face though her eyes told a different story.

Damon had stoped gaping and his gaze had turned towards Aqua and saw her smile with a bit of sadness in her eyes while she was looking down. " this place is huge and beautiful and trust me when I say that this is the best suit I have ever seen " Damon states while his eyes were glistening at her. She just chuckled looking at him for the first time. He was shook cause this the first time she had ever laughed since he had arrived and unknowingly he had a sweet smile crept on his face too. " take rest for a while, you can stay here until one of the guards call you for dinner " she stated after composing herself. Damon just nodded and thanked her for the tour.

As she exited the room Damon just turned towards the stone which was shaped like a bed and a cloth like material like his blanket and there was a table next to the bed which had a fish which looked weird but when he pressed it, it glowed. It was a lamp, there was a vanity table with a mirror and there was something which looked like beauty products on the vanity. He later went towards the huge window which had no glass but was a big hole and with that he could see the entire city and the lights of the city was cherry on the top to bring the city to life.

He decided to take a nap since he had nothing to do and had no where to go. He laid down on the stone which was actually comfortable, his eyelids were getting heavy. He had an exhausting day today and just needed a good rest. But before he drifted to his dreamland he thought about his dad and brother, and somewhere deep down just wished they were looking, cause he thought no one would give two shits about him missing. But he had no clue what was happening on land when he had gone missing.
