Hogwarts Express
Ron and Hermione were strolling across the train, helping first years with information and overall, conducting a bit of inspection. Hermione's nostalgia crept in as she watched a first year girl living a lecture to another about the events of the first wizarding world; the other girl looked at the first girl in awe, clearly mesmerized by her brilliance.
"Looks like we've got a twin of you," Ron observed.
"Come on, I didn't give that much long lectures!" Hermione argued.
"You certainly did. And still do. I can testify to that. "
Hermione grunted.
They patrolled the train silently after that. The trolley lady carted his trolley beside them.
The trolley was full of sweets, as usual. There were cupcakes, Drooble's best blowing gum, Bertie Bott's every flavor bean, pumpkin pastries, pumpkin spiced smoothie, multi-color chocolates and other products from Honeydukes Shop.
"Anything off the trolley, dears?" the witch asked.
"No, thanks." Ron said.
"I'll take a copy of the Daily Prophet," Hermione said.
And as usual, the Prophet printed a big picture of Harry on their first page, with the headline -
'What's the Chosen One
doing nowadays?'
Hermione flipped the page in annoyance." I'm worried about Harry. " Hermione said quietly.
" Why? " Ron asked.
"You see, It's been tough for him for a couple of years. I mean, he had to always fight Voldemort since he came to hogwarts, but not like this, never like this. First Cedric, now Sirius, and all this bullocks about being the chosen one... "
"Aren't you friends with the chosen one?" asked a girl from behind.
"Sorry, but we're not selling autographs." Ron said bitterly.
"I don't need an autograph. If I wanted, I could easily ask him for one." the girl said.
"Then why do you need to know if he's the chosen one? You aren't going to help him fight You-Know-Who, are you?" Hermione said.
"Why are you being so defensive? Are you his girlfriend?"
At this, Ron started laughing hysterically. He was laughing so hard that he started coughing.
"What's so funny?" the girl demanded.
"Ron, are you okay?" Hermione asked, ignoring the girl.
"Nothing.. just.." Ron said between his wild laughs. "I think I needed to call Victor Krum.." he laughed again. " to say that she left you because of the chosen one..."
" Oh.. the witch weekly's prediction is coming along, finally." Ron finished, before laughing for another three full minutes.
Unable to decipher their emotions, the girl left, muttering something that sounded like straight outta mental hospital.
"What was that?" Hermione demanded.
"What? You can't argue with me that she was super funny!" Ron said cheerfully.
"Why do you have to bring up Victor Krum? " Hermione scowled.
"What's wrong with that?" Ron asked, bewildered. "You're still not in love with him, are you?"
