Hospital Wing.
Luna cautiously approached his bed. Draco lied there, unconscious. Some withered flowers tipped downwards in the vase kept on the bedside table.
She sat beside him, on his bed.
His eyes fluttered open.
"Luna?" he said, squinting his eyes.
"Hello."
Draco tried to sit up.
"Hey, hey." she said, grabbing his shoulder to put him down. "Madam Pomfrey told us not to disturb you, so you could rest properly."
"You're..not..dis...turbing me." he managed to say.
"Lie or I will leave you here, right now, alone."
He smiled feebly.
"How are you feeling?"
"Good....because now I'm seeing you."
"Draco," she slapped on his hands playfully. "How come you're flirting with me in such situation!"
"I'm always....charming." he said in croaked voice.
"Okay, but no more talking, alright? Madam Pomfrey will put me in detention if I violate her explicitly expressed instruction."
He whimpered. "At least stay beside me, okay?"
"Okay. I will be sitting here, holding your hands."
Draco closed his eyes in tranquility.
After a while, she said, "Can I read to you?"
"Am I in the heaven?"
"What?" she gasped in horror.
"No, I was thinking...that all my wishes were coming true..... that's why I was wondering," he opened his eyes and looked at their entwined hands. "If I was in the heaven."
"Draco!" she puffed a breath. "You really scared me!"
"You were afraid? For me? I think I should thank Potter, after all."
"For?" she asked, flabbergasted.
"For putting me in this state. Otherwise, I would never get to hear you say that you were afraid for me."
"Are you mocking me right now?" she said, tears rolled up in her eyes. "If you think you can get away with mocking me, you're wrong. I'll send you a pack of Gulping Plimpies after you!"
Draco laughed, to the point where his ribs hurt. He lifted himself an inch to wipe off the tears from her eyes. "No, I wasn't mocking you, just teasing. You made me annoyed all the time so it's only fair to return the favor."
"I... annoyed you?" she asked dubiously.
"In a good way." he assured. "You told me that you'd read to me?"
"Oh yeah, that." She summoned her backpack, and pulled out a book from it.
She started reading. Her honey-dripping voice in the half-lit room of the hospital created a magic unknown to humans and other creatures, that ever set their foot on Earth.
"I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there's a pair of us!
Don't tell! they'd advertise – you know!How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one's name – the livelong June-
To an admiring Bog!"
