Chapter 22 - Revisiting old memories

I eventually gave in and looked out the window after Tubbo refused to tell me where we were going. After a while, I could see in the distance a colourful array of lights. As we drove closer I immediately knew where we were.

THE FUCKING FUNFAIR!

It was weeks ago when I told him about my love for them. Every 2 weeks Nick would take me to the funfair mostly to get away from my parents but also to just spend time with me. Most of my happiest memories were at the funfair. Tubbo must have seen the excitement on my face as he let out a small chuckle.

"You excited?"

I was practically buzzing out of excitement at this point.

"YES OH MY GOD! YOU REMEMBERED!" I screamed, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek. He laughed.

"I'm glad you're excited!" he smiled. As we get closer and closer I could feel myself getting more excited. Not only were funfairs one of my favourite places but the fact I got to go with one of my favourite people made it ten times more exciting. We pulled into the car park and I grabbed my bag with my change of clothes. As we were marking our way up to the entrance, I spotted a familiar-looking car.

"Hey that kind of looks like Niki's car!" I asked, pointing to the silver ford fiesta parked in the corner of the car park.

"Oh yeah it does," Tubbo said, pulling on my arm. I was a bit confused as to why he seemed so eager to get there but just brushed it off. As we got close to the entrance Tubbo put his hands over my eyes.

"Tubbo what are you doing?" I giggled, trying to move his hands.

"Just keep them closed!" he said, guiding me. I could hear from his voice that he had a huge smile on his face. We walked for a few moments before he finally took his hands away.

"SURPRISE!"

I opened my eyes to see all of my friends standing there with presents, balloons and party poppers. They pulled the party poppers and cheered.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/N!" They all said in unison. I could feel the tears start to form in my eyes.

"OH MY GOD! You guys did all of this for me?" I screamed, rushing over to hug them. I heard a few people chuckle.

"Of course we did stupid!" Niki said, inviting me into a warm hug. I accepted, of course, Niki's hugs are the best. We pulled apart and she handed me a pink gift bag. 

"Thank you all so much I'm actually speechless," I said.

We spent around 5 minutes exchanging gifts and just catching up with everyone before Tubbo tapped me on the shoulder.

"Do you want to go and put your gifts in the car?" he asked. I nodded and he helped me get them all before we started to walk back to his car. 

"Did you arrange all of this?" I asked, closing the boot to his car after putting all the gifts away. He chuckled and put his hands on my waist.

"You know I couldn't under-spoil you on your birthday," he said softly. I could feel myself turning bright red. I wrapped my arms around the back of his neck and kissed him softly. After we pulled apart I pressed my forehead against his. 

"Thank you. And not just for this for just being there," I said, gazing into his gorgeous brown eyes. He smiled.

"I always will,"

He locked the car and we made our way back over to the funfair. We all paid and had a little group discussion on what everyone was doing. Tommy, Jack, Wilbur and Fundy decided to go and check out the haunted houses. Bad, Zak and Cara went to go and play some carnival games. This left me, Tubbo, Niki and Minx. I really wanted to go on a few rides and they all agreed. We decided to go on the swing ride first.
