Jared walked out of the bedroom fully dressed as he answered a call from another coworker. “Rudy, what’s wrong?”

“Aw, come on Jar, does something have to be wrong for me to call?”

Jared stopped in his tracks. “Well, then what did you call to talk about?” There was a long pause after Jared spoke and he snickered, shaking his head as he saw Luca walking towards him.

“Work?” He mouthed.

Jared shook his head. “Not sure yet.”

The older man shrugged and kissed Jared on the edge of his lips as he walked past him going back to their bedroom.

“Okay Jared, it’s a work thing,” Rudy confessed with a sigh.

“Ahh, about time, what’s wrong?” He asked, walking to the kitchen.

Luca had finally gotten himself fully dressed and had tied his hair up into a messy bun before he grabbed his wallet and cell and went out to find Jared. He knew that he was warned about leaving marks on Jared’s neck because of work reasons, yet even though he knew that he was maybe upset with him, he just couldn’t resist biting him whenever they had sex. He groaned, shaking his head. Jared looked somewhat upset earlier, but he didn’t seem mad, so what was his mood, really? He just prayed that he wasn’t annoyed since those bite marks could be easily covered up. “Honey?”

Jared looked up as Luca entered the kitchen finally dressed for their walk.

He was still on the phone call much to Luca’s distaste, but he was paying attention as he sliced some apples or at least that’s what Luca supposed he was gonna do since he had a knife beside the sink as he washed two apples. “You’re not trying to give your other hand a matching cut, right?” Luca asked on impulse. Jared’s blue eyes glared at him, making the other man chuckle.

Jared turned back to the sink as he resumed his conversation. Luca smirked and came up behind him, setting his hands down on either side of the sink, caging Jared in. You’re not mad at me are you baby?” He whispered in his other ear. His voice a low rumble as it vibrated through Jared’s body.

“Fuck.” He swore under his breath, a blush crawling up his neck.

“Jar? What was that?” Rudy asked.

“N—nothing. It was nothing. Go on.” Jared muted himself on the call and twisted to find Luca’s eyes. “Stop it. I’m speaking to a coworker.”

He grumbled softly. “You work too much.” He leaned forward to try to kiss him but Jared moved his head away making Luca kiss the side of his neck. He hummed softly against his skin and then ran his tongue up along Jared’s neck causing him to shiver and yelp into the phone.

Jared threw an elbow back but Luca jumped away in time, laughing as he moved from Jared’s range. “Fucker! Quit it.” He growled.

“Something wrong?” Rudy asked.

Jared stared down Luca, then unmuted the call as he answered the man. “No, nothing. Please go on.” The men went back to their conversation and Luca stole one of the apples as he turned to go into the living room.

“Don’t cut your hand again.” He threw over his shoulder, leaving Jared to his call.

The leaves fluttered as the cool afternoon breeze blew, dogs barking and the men were leisurely jogging along the joggers’ path. They turned and came up to the pier where they slowed to a brisk walk. “Whew, that was fun,” Luca remarked.

“Very much.” Jared panted stopping to catch his breath. “Luc, wanna take a break?” He asked, seeing how the other man panted heavily, sweat running down his face and disappearing at his mustache. He took his small towel out to dab at his face, still catching his breath.
