Jared was gathering his files until his suitcase, checking to make sure that he had the right notes on him for his day of work.
“Jared don’t forget your jacket,” Luca called.
“Yeah…” he answered, trailing off as he read over something. He closed the file then picked up his black leather suitcase and slipped the case notes in. He latched it and grabbed his phone, rushing from his office, pulling the door after him. He marched over to coat closet and grabbed his black trench coat, making sure to listen to Luca.
The older man checked his watch as he shoved his arms into the sleeves of his white button-down shirt, doing up the buttons. He stopped before Jared, having just come from the bedroom. His eyes scanned over his lover. His hand was securely bandaged, and he was more-or-less not bothered with it. Luca exhaled a tired sigh, smiling at him. “Have a great day at work, baby.”
“You too, my love.” He leaned up as Luca met him halfway and exchanged a kiss. Jared smiled and left the apartment, rushing for the elevator.
Luca chuckled softly, still pleased over their nighttime shenanigans. He picked up his work shoes and slipped into them, humming while tying his laces. Luca yawned as he strolled into the kitchen, opening the fridge for a bottle of water. He uncapped it and took a deep swing then turned around and sighed when he glanced at the counter and found Jared’s lunch bag next to his. “That man.” He reached out for the bag, “he’d lose his head if it wasn’t attached to him.” He finished his bottle then collected his things and moved towards the front foyer.
Luca set the bags on the side table, grabbed his brown well-worn and weathered jacket and pulled it on. He slung his brown leather side bag over his shoulder and picked up their lunch bags, knowing that Jared was most likely already be on the way to his work via the highway since this was the best time to catch the free-flowing traffic.
He sidestepped, making sure that he looked tidy—the only time really that he appeared less beastly and more groomed was during the work week. He tucked away a loose tendril behind his ear, since he didn’t feel like undoing his neat top bun to fix it in.
Luca exited the apartment upon ensuring that he looked well-groomed and locked the door. He sauntered towards the elevator which was faster than normal today and pressed the parking level after stepping inside.
Hua eyes found his motorbike but then sighed and moved to his hummer jeep, knowing that the weather would not be kind to him as the temperature had dipped drastically from yesterday. He honestly couldn’t be mad. Living in New York meant welcoming the ever-changing weather that did whatever it pleased, whenever it pleased.
He set the bags down on the floor in the front passenger seat and buckled in as he started the vehicle and backed out of the parking spot so he could drive to the law firm that Jared worked at.
He turned on the radio once he got onto the street, nodding his head to the music before the news drown it out and the drive became a blur.
Luca luckily found an empty parking spot infront of the law firm and checked to make certain he was parking legally. He hopped out, grabbing Jared’s lunch bag and strode over to the entrance.

The second phone line beeped as Jared closed up the first call and reached to answer the next one. He greeted the client with a pleasantness that received a good reply and went into what they had called for.
Four-inch heels marched down the hall lined with cubicles, Jared’s office one away from where she was going. His door was slightly ajar as she bent into the next hall and leaned in slightly to catch his attention. She rapped at the door softly, her full ginger curls falling one he shoulder as she bent sideways, her deep green eyes met his blue gaze behind the glass of his square black rimmed frames. She waved at him, and he tipped his head hands full of paperwork as he listened to his client.
