The Broken Rule:

Paris "friends"(Chapter 8)

"All guards ran after you and at first I was extremely scared, as I saw you and behind you all guards which pointed their sharp weapons towards me. I thought they would harm me and you wanted to hurt me, too like everybody else, but you did the opposite. You saw my scared face and as you turned around you, I can still remember how you scared at them with your cute voice: Don't scare my friend, go shu shu! You turned your face back to me and gave me your teddy bear. You calmed me down and you were the first person who made me laugh. And as I got scared again, when your parents came to us, you hugged me. The first time that anyone ever hugged me and you still think I would just let you go. Paris, I would have died when your person hadn't take me with you to the castle and gave me the chance to become a soldier that protects their daughter." Both Paris and Cedric start to cry and Paris immediately wishes her tears away. "Of course, I still remember this day. But times have changed, my parents are not alive anymore and I was forced to become the Queen at age of eight and you are the head of all guards. We have responsibilities, Cedric. We are not children anymore, we don't have the time for a friendship and I can't allow myself to like anyone, what if I start to love you one day? Then I would be a threat to my own kingdom, I can't let that happen."

Paris closes her eyes and her whole body starts to shiver. Cedric comes closer to her and hugs her. He gives her a kiss on her forehead and his attitude changes: "I am sorry, I didn't want to make you cry. I just- I just miss my best friend, I miss the old times where we would talk through the whole night or where you helped me training for fighting in a battle or where we trained your dance moves. We even once sneaked away from one of your balls, because we both were bored. You are the only person that I have left, Paris. I don't have anyone else and right now I am watching how you fall apart, because you try to distance yourself from everybody, just because you have this fear of breaking the rules. You don't need to be alone, Paris." Paris rests her head on Cedric's chest. "You promise that you won't get killed by Anderson when we start to be best friends again?" she mumbles. "I promise." Cedric gives her a light smile and takes one step back.

"But now my Queen, would you accept my help to bring you back safely to your room?" The Queen nods and the knight gives her support as she tries to stand up. He brings her back to her room and calls some maids that help her get dressed to comfortable clothes. He waits outside the room and says her good night, before ordering some guards to watch the hallways and especially the doors to the Queen's room. 

{The next day at six am:}

"Hello, Amelia. As always you are on time!" Paris looks to her door, which is open. Amelia comes in with a new royal dress and a big smile in her face. "My Queen, I will always be on time, after all I don't want to lose my spot as your personal maid!" Amelia answers while bowing down. Paris shakes her head and jumps out of bed. "Amelia how often did I tell you to stop bowing down in front of me? You may be a maid, but to me you are like a close friend, so stop bowing down to me, please." "Oh well yeah I forget it sometimes, but I will work on it, my Queen. How are you feeling after yesterday? I was-, I mean we were worried sick about our Queen!" Paris chuckles a little and her normally pink eyes turn to yellow. "Amelia, you are not really good in hiding your concern! You don't need to hide it, I know how overprotective you are, that is one of my main reasons why you became my personal maid. Also I am fine. My powers are fully restored, so I have my whole strength back!" Amelia puts the dress down on the bed and closes the door. "I am happy that you are healthy, my Queen! Now could I please help you putting on your new dress?" Paris nods her head and goes to the bathroom where she makes herself ready, then she walks in front of her huge mirror and accepts Amelia's help.

 After some minutes Paris looks at her huge mirror and asks Amelia: "Is this dress durable towards my powers?" "Yes, it is indeed. The King of Technology has even put some extras in the dress, so you didn't need to change if you must fight in a war. He also wants to support you in the Red War!" "So that is how they called the War between our kingdoms and the kingdom of the Red Queen? Hmm let me see. I think I know what the King of Technology did! Just watch, Amelia!" Paris pushes a ruby which is in the middle of her dress and her red dress changes in to a light red armor with a little gown which starts at her hip and goes down to the floor. Behind her appears a holder, which contains a bow and some arrows, which have deadly heart symbols on the tip of the arrows. On her arms there are two metal bracers, which she can from to a shield when she pushes one ruby that is on them. 

"Only a light touch on one of the three rubies and I have a whole safe armor, which he even made stylish. I am impressed! Send him a letter and tell him to hide all his men in my kingdom near the mountains, the one which is far away from the Red Queens kingdom! Tell him to keep only some men in his kingdom, but lock them up in the prison, so when the Red Queen will visit him, she will think he is an ally and not a threat. This is how he will not attend the War and thank him. Reassure him that I will stop the War, before she can reach my kingdom in the mountains and that he should trust me. I will fight till my bitter end!" Amelia nods and runs out of the room to write the letter as fast as possible. Paris touches the middle ruby again and the armor changes to her dress back. "Sometimes I envy your powers, King of Technology, but then I remember your power may be permanent, but you can only attach your power to objects not people and you also have no ultimate power, but at least you are a good ally!" The Queen mumbles to herself before she goes out of her room and goes to Cygnus' room.
