It was the day after Ingrid had left and the atmosphere in the house was rather quiet compared to the recent weekend. Danielle and Eleanor weren’t about either as the boys had a lot of promoting to do, what with their new album being released next week. Niall’s mood was still down because of Ingrid’s absence. But with a bit of brotherly love from the boys, and knowing she would be back soon, he was starting to cheer up a little. The boys had a signing today, and seeing as I had nothing to do Harry asked me to come along. I wasn’t too sure whether it was a good idea or not though - at least not after all the twitter drama from a few days ago.

“I don’t know Harry… I mean, your fans don’t exactly seem to like me do they? And if I’m at a signing, that’s not going to go down well…” I moaned, fixing my face in the mirror.

“Well, everything seems to have died down now anyway? Look, let me check twitter.”

“No Harry, I don’t want -“ but before I could stop him, he was already scrolling through his mentions on his phone.

His eyebrows furrowed, as his mouth pouted.

“Eurgh, what?” I muttered. Moving to his side to read his mentions.

Surprisingly, the mentions were no where near as bad as before. Sure, there were still a few saying stuff, but other than that no one was saying anything.

“See? There’s nothing to worry about. Plus, if you want you can just wait in the back room with everyone else and we’ll come see you afterwards and at lunch?”

“Fine!” I surrendered. Walking off in to my bedroom to find my bag.

Driving to the signing, my nerves began to kick in. Biting at my finger nails and tapping my foot against the base of the car, Harry sensed my nerves.

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll make sure everything is fine, okay?” Harry gently whispered in my ear, wrapping his arm around my nervous body.

As we arrived at the signing we passed streams and streams of raging fans. All jumping up and down, pelting towards the car and just screaming and shouting to get the boys attention. We parked round the back of the building and made our way inside. Just as the boys were about to turn to walk outside and meet the fans, Harry turned around and started walking towards me.

“Don’t worry okay, Millie? We’ll be back in a bit for lunch. Love you!” he placed a small kiss upon my cheek, and swirled around and ran to catch up with the others.

I was sat in a fairly large room with the rest of the boys management. Paul was obviously out with the boys, making sure everything was under control. Pulling out my phone, I decided to text Ingrid.

“Hey, love! Did you get home safely? xx”

As I got up to make myself a drink, I finally got a reply from her.

“Hey, yeah the train journey was fine thanks. How are you and the boys? xx”

I guess by “the boys” she actually meant Niall, but didn’t want to be to obvious. We were talking for about an hour and a half, and eventually it ended up in a phone call. By the end of the chat we had decided that Ingrid was going to come and visit again this weekend. I knew she was missing Niall, I could tell by the sound of her voice. Something just sounded different. She sounded almost lost. It was strange considering this was a boy she had only just met. But I guess some people are lucky like that.
