The rest of the day I spent with my family and mainly Harry. The boys popped round for a bit to wish me happy birthday, and showered me in presents. Louis got me a beautiful, light pink lace dress - obviously picked out by Eleanor, but either way I was truly grateful. Liam had bought me a pair of heels which fitted perfectly with my new dress, whilst Zayn bought me a bag. I have a feeling the boys sent Eleanor out to pick a whole outfit and they each gave me a bit, but like I said - it was lovely, and I appreciated it a lot. Niall however, had bought me a flowery case for my Blackberry, some chocolates and a necklace. All of my gifts were beautiful and once I had opened them, we all sat around watching some tv and just generally messing about.

As usual, Niall was absolutely hyper - along with Louis. They were wrestling on my floor, and before I knew it, somehow, every single one of us had managed to wheel our way in to what was now, a massive, tangled heap of bodies on the floor.

“Liam! You’re sat on my face” came a muffled complain from a squished Louis.

“Ah well, you started this! I’m going to finish it!” laughed Liam, eventually pulling himself from Louis face.

Louis sat up with a pissed off expression on his face, rubbing the side of his face which was now a bright red from where Liam had comfortably been sitting for goodness knows how long.

The next few hours went pretty quickly and the boys had to go, so it was just me and Harry. Mum had gone shopping with my little brother, so we were left to some final peace and quiet. We decided to make some special birthday cup cakes, which we do every year on each of our birthdays. And we have done ever since I can remember, so it was a tradition really.

Whilst making up the cake mixture and hitting Harry for sneakily eating bits every now and then, I thought how today had been one of the best birthdays in a long time. It was so lovely to spend it with my bestfriend and the boys. But the thought of what was happening tonight still didn’t leave my mind. I didn’t want to sound ungrateful, but I really hoped Harry hadn’t arranged a party. Because with Harry, when it comes to organizing a party… he doesn’t really care how many people he invites, and I hate the attention being on me. And with a room of however many people, a party just for me, the chances of no one noticing me were extremely low.

“Harry?” I asked, starting to separate the mixture into the cup cake cases.

“Mhmmm?” he mumbled, licking the spoon full of mixture.

I scowled at him but quickly forgave him and continued with what I was saying. “What’s happening tonight? Please tell me?”

“Nope! You shall not know until we are there!”

“Harryyyyy!!!” I whined, making puppy dog eyes, in hope of sweetening him up.

“Don’t try the puppy dog eyes! They wont work this time!” he insisted, folding his arms.

“Damn” I murmured. They normally always work against Harry.

“I’ll tell you one thing though…be ready to be picked up at 7pm…oh and wear what the boys bought you. It’s nice”

Wear what the boys bought me? So he obviously knew what they were buying me and probably told them to get that! Meaning he had defiantly arranged a party tonight. Urghhh.

                                                                                    ***

Just as I finished getting ready, wearing my new outfit, I heard a knock at the door. I looked at the clock. 7pm. That must be Harry. As I made my way downstairs, my mum had already let Harry in.

God he looked so gorgeous. Not that he doesn’t always. But tonight, there was just something about him… He was wearing a new pair of chinos with a shirt and his jacket with folded up sleeves. Showing off the purple material inside. His arms looked so muscly and his face… oh his face. Every single curl was perfectly in place, sitting gently upon his beautiful head. Whether it was the angle he was standing in or not, but his lush, green eyes twinkled in the light, giving him a mysterious edge to him.

After what felt like forever of me studying him over, I welcomed him with a hug.

“You look gorgeous, Millie.” he whispered.

“You don’t look too bad yourself, Styles,” I chuckled, still blushing from the compliment he gave me.

Harry might be my best friend in the whole world, but my confidence was terrible and even a compliment from him made go insanely embarrassed. Even after 19 years.

“Are you ready?” he asked, offering me his arm to take hold of.

“yup” I replied, in return taking hold of his arm.

                                                                               ***

Driving in the car, I still had no idea where we were going and Harry wasn’t letting out a single clue. I didn’t even know where we were if I was quite honest. I hoped to god Harry did.

“Umm, where are we going exactly? Like… I don’t have a clue where we are?”

“You’ll see… it’s just round here” he pointed to a small building as he turned the car left into a car park.

I didn’t recognise this place and it seemed far to small to have a party. Or atleast a party with a decent amount of people in. Not that I was complaining about how big the guest list was going to be. As we got out the car I looked around, taking in my unfamiliar surroundings, trying to make sense of where we were. Harry simply watched me, laughing to himself over my confusion. Entering the peculiar building, we were greeted by a rather tall man, who seemed to know Harry.

“Welcome, Mr Styles. This way.” welcoming us, he ushered us over to a door which led to a small room.

Turning on the lights, there was a small table, set for two. Covered in a pure white silk cloth, and beautiful cutlery. A “Happy Birthday Millie” balloon, hovered over the table.

“Harry! This is beautiful” I chimed, turning round to engulf him in a big bear hug.

“Anything for my amazing best friend” he grinned.

And with that, we sat down at the table to start our beautiful evening.
