A George-free week

So it was New Years Day and I was home alone with Klaus. I felt a tiny bit lonely, but I knew Anne would be in the same situation, so I called her.

'Hello Rose!' she said.

'Hi Anne, fancy coming over later? I'm bored with George being gone and all that' I replied.

'Yeah I'm up for that! I know how you feel, it's so lonely here without John' she said.

'Oh well, at least we have each other for company! I'll see you at about 1?'

'Okay! See you then, bye!' she hung up.

I showered and got ready, then made a pot of tea. Anne arrived shortly after and we gossiped. Apparently, John's aunt Mimi had not approved of Anne, describing her as 'common'. She was upset by this as she had so desperately wanted Mimi to like her. She also told me that Ringo was still drunk when he came over to pick up John earlier in the morning, resulting in him appearing at their house wearing nothing but his underwear, whilst carrying an abstract of Paul's face! I couldn't stop laughing.

After a few hours of tea, gossip and films, Anne went home.

It was so strange going to sleep without the feel of George's arm over me. It had barely been a day since I'd seen him and I already missed him so much.

Over the next few days I didn't do a lot. I tidied the flat and did a little shopping. I also visited my parents back in Wavertree. They announced that they were going to renew their vows within the next few months, I was thrilled for them! They wanted me, George, Anne and John to be there. They also said Ringo, Paul and Maureen were invited which I was very happy about. The Beatles family were almost becoming my actual family! My little brother had moved to a small flat near John's house in Woolton and had got an apprenticeship. I was very proud of him.
