'Happy new year!' everybody shouted over glasses of champagne. Anne and John had thrown a new year party in their new apartment and invited the 'Beatles family'. The radio was blasting and everyone was very tipsy! Me and George spent most of the night dancing. The thing that worried me was the fact that the Beatles had to catch a flight to Ireland at 9am, it was already 1am!

Me and George managed to stumble home at around 2. We had to sneak around a bit in case there were any teenage girls waiting to dive on George. We arrived home and George sat on the sofa and asked me to join him.

'I'm really sorry, Rose.' he said quietly.

I was puzzled. 'Why are you sorry?'

'I feel like I've been neglecting you. You know, putting work first and all that. I do love you a lot and I'm sorry if it hasn't seemed that way.' he said.

'It's okay George, I know your work's important. I love you so much and I know you love me too.'

He held my hand, then leaned in to kiss me. It was so magical. I knew from that moment that I never wanted to be with anybody else. All I ever needed was George.

The next day I woke up to the sound of George singing 'Do You Want To Know A Secret'. 'I knew that'd wake you up!' he smiled. 'I'm just about to leave for Ireland, I'll be back in a few days, I love you!' He then kissed my head.

'I love you too, good luck!' I said. George blew a kiss and left. I felt lonely already, but I still had Klaus!
