The walk there was silent.

None of us spoke a word, we just all followed Punz as he continuously looked at his compass to find his way. I'd like to believe we were all generally thinking the same thing: Dream needed to be stopped. But I think we were all thinking it in different variations.

I was thinking, for the millionth time, about facing the guy who I'd declared my best friend for so many years. Despite all that's happened, the good memories of our childhood made me hesitant. Sapnap seemed a bit nervous as well - he's always trusted Dream. George didn't even show, which I understood but at the same time I was slightly angry about.

Sam was occasionally stealing glances at me, I noticed through the corner of my eye. I know he was trying to read my emotions and figure out whether or not I was mentally stable enough to be here. In all honesty, I wasn't even sure of that, but I needed to see Dream fail. I needed to see Dream as the horrible person he was. I could make excuses for what he's done to me all day, claiming that o deserved it or that it wasn't a big deal, while knowing full well it was a big enough deal to cry over it.

But there was no excuse for doing what he's done to Tommy and Tubbo.

I was stupid enough to let it go on, so lost in my fantasy of Dream being the perfect person I'd idolized him to be. What I wouldn't do to go back in time and slap myself in the face.

Sam must have noticed my frustration and put a hand on my shoulder, leaning down so his mouth was next to my ear.

"You doing okay darlin'?" He mumbled, rubbing circles on my shoulder with his thumb.

I nodded. How did I deserve this man? He knew me too well.

He clearly wasn't satisfied with this answer but knew not to press it any further surrounded by everyone else.

"How much longer?" Karl whined.

"We're here." Punz said finally, stopping in front of a small building built discreetly into the side of a hill.

Quackity now spoke up, "Dream's murdering kids in there? It's not even big enough, no matter how tiny they are!"

Sapnap punched him in the shoulder to get him to shut up.

Punz went in, and we all peered in from outside, watching as he flipped some switches and moved some things around. Finally, after a few moments, a nether portal lit up. A grin grew across the blonde's face.

"Everyone ready?" He asked.

We all looked at each other.

"Ready." I said, once I determined that no one was having second thoughts.

Punz went through first, then Puffy, Sam, Karl, Quackity, Eret, Sapnap, Ponk, Callahan, and Niki. Callahan and I had never...spoken? Interacted? Yeah. I just assumed he didn't really like me much.

I was the last to go in. After taking a deep breath and recollecting myself, I stepped into the faded purple mist.

After a few moments, I reappeared inside a large obsidian room. The others were a few feet in front of me, weapons drawn and aimed at a familiar green man with a smiley face mask, who was standing a few feet away from Tommy and Tubbo.

"...you should've paid me more." Punz was saying before I finally took a step forward.

Dream noticed, "Asteria?"

I kept my composure, "Dream. Care to explain?"

"I..." he trailed off, looking momentarily back at the two young teenagers before looking back at me.
