Chapter Five (Jamie)
"George, I'm home!", Liberty shouted as we entered her ridiculously big mansion. Once, Julian and I tried to count the amount of rooms in the house, but we ended up quitting because there were too many to count. Her house is so huge, she doesn't even need to leave it to have fun. She has a movie theatre, an indoor and outside pool, a tennis court, gym,… I could continue but I wouldn't have any pages left here to write.
George, her butler, immediately came to the door and said: "Miss Liberty, good to have you home. I see you have brought company, I will have the chef prepare lunch for everyone".
George has been her butler since she was born. He was the person to change her diapers, teach her how to talk, walk, even ride her motorcycle. He is her real father, like Tristan is to me.
"Thanks, George, we'll be outside at the pool.", she said to him and then turned around to us, "You guys know where your bikini's and shorts are so go ahead", she said and went to her room to change clothes.
The girls and boys split up to the separate changing rooms outside where we changed clothes.
Mine was a black leathered bikini from the brand 'Triangl', it's my favourite (and most expensive) bikini ever.
"My god, how long does it take to put on a freaking bikini?", Angelo said as he saw us coming out of the changing room.
"Sorry, we were just admiring each other's naked bodies", Dark said which made Angelo and Julian turn red like tomatoes.
Everyone jumped in the pool except for Angelo and I. He came closer and asked: "Why aren't you jumping in as well?".
"I could ask you the same question", I said and we smiled. It was weird, usually when we have a silent moment, it isn't awkward at all. But now, there was something in the air that made us both feel weird.
"So…", he said.
"So…", I responded. The sun was right next to his head which made it seem like there was a halo surrounding him. His dark brown hair was looking perfect between messy and tidy, and his green eyes were looking straight into mine. But then he stepped back.
"What?", I asked.
"Your phone is ringing", he said and pointed at my phone on one of the chairs. Perfect timing, mom! I ignored the call and jumped in the pool.
Everything was perfect. The combination of the just warm enough day and the right temperature of the pool with all of my closest people in it was just indescribable. But then, she ruined it.
My mom decided to be a concerned and caring parent for the first time in her life and actually came to Liberty's house! I was so pissed off.
She came and told me to come home, like I was some 12 years old girl with a curfew. She even threatened to call the police if I wasn't home in 30 minutes! That… That… Was just unacceptable! Who does that woman think she is?! Coming to my friend's house uninvited and telling me what to do?! I am almost 18, and I swear to god, the second it becomes midnight I am out of this house and never speaking to her again!
But for now, I am still a minor, which technically means I have to do what she says.
"Boy, am I happy my parents are miles and miles away", Liberty said as she got out of the pool and grabbed a drink from the bar. (Don't worry, it wasn't alcoholic).
"What I would do to switch lives with you", I responded.
I changed back to my clothes and right as I was on my motorcycle about to go home, Angelo stopped me.
