"How the hell do you expect me to sit around and listen to your voice and your voice only all day?" Reggie said jokingly knowing his best friend would get annoyed. "What do you mean "how the hell do you expect me-" you prick, I'm letting you stay here so you don't have to listen to Bobby talk about Lisa all day! so shut the hell up and deal with it asshole" reggie's closest friend ember remarked back to him.

Reggie and ember had been friends for years. They met through embers twin brother Luke and had been inseparable ever since. Luke hated it but ember didn't care, all she cared about was the fact that she had something that Luke didn't for once and that was a genuine connection that would never go away. Almost like soulmates but without the relationship. Reggie could never like ember the way she liked him.

Like her brother ember loved music. She never went anywhere without her booklet so that she could write lyrics whenever they came to mind. Not that she'd ever show anyone them though. They're mostly about her helping reggie through the tough times with his parents and the constant arguments with her mum for the choice of being in a rock band. Her mum uses the phrase "useless and trashy" to describe the band that her and her twin brother formed with their friends. Luke doesn't care about what his mum thinks but ember does, it's always been a priority of hers to make her mum proud of her because she was the only girl that her mum had in the family. She writes songs about how her mum makes her feel and how she wants to impress her but doesn't know how. But they're only the small section in the back of the booklet that she likes to call her journal. The front of the journal is full of songs and ideas that she'd want the band to play but doesn't have the confidence to show because she's scared that her brother will find out about her crush on their bass player.

Reggie deals with a lot when he's at home and that's why he relies on ember for his emotional support. Ember leaves her bedroom window open every night so that he can climb through whenever he needs too. Reggie spends most of his time making up random melodies on his acoustic guitar and attempting to write country songs. He always tries to put his country songs into Luke's journal because he knows it'll be seen by the "leader" of the band then and maybe he'll get what he wants.

What people don't know about reggie is that he has severe anxiety and has panic attacks because of his parents. He has a phobia of loud noises and of dark places. This is all because of his home experiences. Reggie tries to hide away his emotions for his younger brother Leon who is only six and thinks the world of reggie. Reggie has practically raised Leon as his own son and not his brother and this is why he goes back every day to see him even if it's been a bad argument day. He. always. goes. back.

At least he did. Until he was forced to stay away by his dad.
