Your eyes flicked open to see Tamayo's face. You tilted your head and the sharp pain met you again.

"Dear welcome back. Please don't put too much strain on your forehead and chest."

Your hand went straight for your forehead, where you felt a big bump or gash. You smiled at Tamayo before seating up.

Your eyes turned towards Yushiro, who was standing next to Tamayo and watching you worriedly. Immediately he saw you were looking at him, he turned his head away from you and towards stairs.

You smiled a little before looking towards the stairs as well. You saw Tanjiro there with Nezuko pulling him in a huge hug.

Guess I'm in the basement then.

You stood up from the ground and before you walked towards Tanjiro and Nezuko, you saw the demon you promised to free.

You didn't see his wife around either, so you turned to Lady Tamayo. "Um...where is his wife please?"

"She fully recovered. She has been released."

You sighed with relief and placed your hand to your chest. You began to walk towards the demon and everybody started to talk.

"Hhmmpphh!!!"

"(Y/n)!"

"Dear, I don't think you should go near him-"

"(Y/n), come back! Do you want to die?"

You held out a finger to them and slowly brought it to your lips. They all turned quiet as you walked closer towards the demon.

As it saw you, you knelt down to its level. "Hey there." you soothingly said as your hand reached for its head. You rubbed its head.

"I see you kept to your promise."

It looked up and you and smiled. "I tried my best." You were taken aback by it talking, but you soon smiled again.

"What's your name sir?"

"(Y/n) if that thing kills you-"

"Yushiro calm down! Let's see what she's doing."

"...I don't really remember.."

You frowned slightly. "Well...can I call you...Natsuki...?" The demon's eyes lit up and he nodded. "That's amazing." he smiled at you and your heart melted.

"Well, Natsuki sir...I'm going to keep to my promise. As long as you promise to harm as minimum humans at all."

He tilted his head. "Or...you could stay here..without restraints! You would help Yushiro and Lady Tamayo over there. Their demon doctors."

"What if they won't accept me?"

"They'll accept you. We all will. I already have." you hugged him and smiled. "And I promise I'll visit often to see you! I won't abandon you!"

He smiled into your shoulder and tears began to roll down his face. "Thank you for giving me another chance. I promise I will not fail you Lady (y/n)."

Lady (y/n)? I actually like the sound of that weirdly.

"No. Thank you for keeping your promise."

You pulled away and pulled on his restraints which cut off the wall. You helped him stand up and walk towards Lady Tamayo who had tears in her eyes.
