Lexi's POV
I haven't been home since the tours started. I miss my mom, and I really miss my dad lately. I carry the letter with me everywhere. I never leave my house without it. I haven't opened it yet, I'm scared to. What if it's something bad? Maybe it's good, I don't know. Well, maybe it's time I finally read it. I sat down on the bus and opened the envelope. This is it. The letter from months ago. Well, here goes nothing.
Dear Lexi,
I hope all is well. I'm glad you are ready to open this, I'm not sure how long it would take you. Anyway, I need you to take care of your mom while I'm away. If something happens to me, keep her strong. You are an amazing daughter and I know you'll make an amazing wife. I hope I'm there to walk you down the isle at your wedding. Whether it be with Demi or someone else, I know you'll have made the right choice. I know about you not eating, and I needed to tell you, don't let your life slip away like that. You are stronger than you think. You are way more beautiful than you see. Believe in yourself Lexi, because I believe in you.
I love you. Keep smiling.
Dad
The letter left me in tears. I'm 18 and I lost my father to murder. I don't know how I will handle this, but I can do this. My dad believes in me, so I do too.
"I love you dad, don't tell the Angels too much about me." I whispered. I held my necklace and cried for a while. Before I knew it, I'd drifted to sleep.
I woke up around 3:30 in the morning. I had a throbbing headache and Demi was nowhere to be found. Did something happen? I found my mom asleep on the couch. I put a blanket over her then went to check my phone. There was a text from Demi saying we were over. What? I don't understand why. I started crying and screaming. Then I woke up.
I cried for Demi and she was right there by my side.
"Shhh babygirl, I'm right here. Breathe. I'm right here babe." She whispered and it helped calm me down quickly.
"Demi.. Please don't go.." I was still crying.
"I'm not going anywhere sweetheart." Demi said.
