It was silent, until a car sped up until they were behind me, and slowly followed me for another block.

*phone rings*
"Who the hell is calling at this hour?"
"De... Demi... I... Help..."
"Lexi? What's going on?"
"H... He... Help."
*hangs up phone*
Oh shit! Lexi! I didn't bother putting on a hoodie or changing into pants. Instead I ran outside in a tank and shorts. And flip flops.
"Lexi?!" I ran to try and find her.
"Demi..!" Lexi was calling for me, faint, but trying to.
"I'm coming babe!" I found Lexi lying on the ground, blood everywhere. Oh my..
*calls 911*
"911, what is your emergency?"
"My girlfriend has been shot!"
"Okay ma'am, what is your location?"
"Uhm.. Uhm I don't know!"
"Where is the nearest address ma'am?"
"Uhm... Uhm... 36 Lexington Drive! Hurry!"
"An ambulance is on their way ma'am."
*hangs up*
"It's okay baby girl, it's going to be okay. Help is coming. Soon princess."
She drifted off, and I panicked. Waiting for the ambulance, I kept checking her pulse to make sure she was still alive.

She's in a medically induced coma right now. They said she might wake up from it, but she might not. After hours of surgeries and removing the bullets, they thought this would be the best way for her to heal. I hate crying in public, but this is one time, I can.
"Lexi.. If you can hear me.. Please wake up from this.. We.." The tears came harder and harder. "We were supposed to get married and start our own family someday. I need you to not stay like this forever. Please. I.." At this point, I'm breathing due to crying so hard. "I love you so much Lexi. I always will..."
