Chapter Four: Will the Wise

You and Mike rushed through the school calling out his name, but you couldn't find him. You pushed the doors that led to the field and saw him.

"Will!" you shouted.

You and Mike ran to him. He was standing stiff, frozen to the ground and his eyes were closed.

"Will, Will wake up" you shook his shoulders carefully, but he wouldn't wake up.

"Will" Mike shook his shoulder but he didn't wake. Lucas, Dustin, Max and Mrs. Byers came running from the school to the field.

"We just found him like this!" Mike told Mrs. Byers. "I think he's having another episode!"

You and Mike moved aside as Mrs. Byers came up to her son.

"Will! Will! Sweetie, wake up! It's Mom!" she said desperately. He wouldn't open his eyes.

You and the guys looked at each other worried, you all thought the same thing, he was in the Upside Down. But why wouldn't he wake up?

"Will! Wake up! Can you hear me? It's Mom! It's me!" Mrs. Byers shouted.

Suddenly, Will gasped and opened his eyes wide, waking up. You sighed a breath of relief but he looked frightened to death. His mother embraced his and led him to the car.

"Okay, that totally freaked me out. Did that not freak you guys out?" Max asked you and the boys.

You looked at the guys and you all exchanged a look. You sighed, when is this all going to end?

"Two episodes in two days, it's getting worse" Mike said as you all walked back to the school, getting your bikes.

"You think it's True Sight?" Lucas asked.

"What's True Sight?" Max asked curiously.

Lucas looked at you and Mike but you just shook your heads. You didn't think it was a good idea to get Max into all of this, not only was it not safe for her but you didn't want them getting mixed up in this problem.

(Time skip to next day)

"Damn it!" shouted Lucas.

"Stop being a baby and do it already!" Mike told him.

"C'mon, it's not the worst thing in the world" you told Lucas.

"Dumpster diving, of course not, there's nothing better I'd rather do" he said sarcastically.

You and Lucas jumped into the dumpster and started grabbing trash bags.

"Woah, a half eaten full-sized snickers bar. The nerve of these people, so uneducated" you said shaking your head.

"Gross" Lucas said.

"What the hell's going on?" you heard Dustin outside from the dumpster.

"What do you think? We're looking for Dart" Mike said.

You and Lucas grabbed two bags each and threw them over the tin to the guys outside.

"Jesus!" Dustin exclaimed.

You both jumped out of the dumpster and you smiled.

"Not so bad" you shrugged.

"God, you stink" Max told you covering her nose. You slapped her hand off her nose and laughed.

"Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to show up" Lucas said looking at Dustin.

"Where's Will?" Dustin asked.
