The school halls were filled with chatter and small talk from the other students. You as well were included in one of the many conversations going on in front of your classroom door. You continued talking with your friend as you walked into your 5th period class to sit at your assigned seat. Students started to trickle in by the second and three minutes later, class began.

You never were interested in anything being taught so class went by slow. You sat there bored trying your best to pay attention to what your teacher was saying. Eventually class ended and just like before, students sparked up in more conversations.

You headed to the cafeteria sense it was your lunch period. You weren't that hungry so you just sat in your usual spot and waited for your friends to get their food and come sit by you.

Your phone buzzed so you pulled it out to check what it was. It was a notification from your dad. "Don't forget to ask your teacher about school clubs before you leave school today!" He's been wanting you to be involved with something your were interested in so you could make more friends and do it while having fun instead of being home all the time. You didn't mind being staying home though, it wasn't a big deal to you. But you weren't that opposed to possibly joining something... but what? You sighed as you put your phone back into your pocket and your friends were now all seated in their usual seats.

Lunch was going fine, you were talking and laughing with your friends. You looked over for a quick second and made eye contact with a boy. You were familiar with him, I mean how could you not though... he was a questionable guy. I mean he didn't do anything weird per say, but students would avoid him or some times even make rude remarks towards him. You never understand why he got this kind of attention from people. He seemed like a pretty normal guy. Tendou Satori was his name. You've known him since middle school. "Friends" wasn't exactly what you would call your relationship with him, but more like "friendly classmates".

Once you made eye contact with him you gave him a small smile so it wouldn't be an awkward silence, and he returned the smile then looked away.

Y/N POV

I continued talking with my friend except my eyes darted over to the redhead a few times by "accident". "Why do you keep looking over there y/n?" one of my friends asked as she turned her to find what could possibly have gotten my attention this many times. That's when she turned back around with a disapproving look on her face. "You're looking at Tendou?... the weird guy???" The rest of my friends looked over at me. "No?! I was just spacing out..." I guess they bought it because they went back to talking about what they were before the incident happened.

Time skip~ After school ended

I made my way to the schools office to ask about school clubs and activities. The woman at the front desk handed me a list of what's open at the moment. I scanned through the list to see if anything sparked my interest.
"Dance club
  Choir club
  Band club
   ...
  Archery club
  Boxing club
  Wrestling club
  ...
  Girls Volleyball club
  Boys Volleyball club
  Volley ball club managers"

Not much caught my attention. "I'll just think about it later." I muttered to myself.

Time skip~ At home

I walked in the door of my house to be greeted by my dad sitting on the couch watching whatever it is he normally watches on tv. "How was your day Y/n?! Did you check out or find any clubs?" He asked me eagerly. "I haven't decided yet, but i have a list of some that are open at the moment." I replied back to him, while handing him the list. He looked through it and thought for a second.

"Volleyball seems like fun right? What about that?"

"Dad you know I don't play sports. i'm not athletic at all..."

"Well it says they could also use a manager? Why not try that. You won't have to play the game just help with the team a little bit. Plus, you could meet new people and make friends!"

"I'll think about it.."

I  walked to my room and took off my shoes, then changed into more comfortable clothes. I laid on my bed and opened my social media's to entertain myself.

About 30 minutes later I received a notification from my friend and clicked on it. I read it to see that it was about and invitation to a party someone she knew was hosting at their house. "Hey Y/n, I'm going to a party this weekend at r/n's house. You HAVEEEE to come." I didn't go to parties often because when I did, they turned out to be boring or fights would break out and I didn't feel like being in the middle of that. "I guess i'll go, what day is it." I texted her back. "YAY. It's saturday this weekend, DRESS CUTE." I rolled my eyes at her response and laughed a little by how excited she got.

Time skip~ The next morning at school

I was standing in the hallway looking back at the list of clubs and thought about what my dad said yesterday. I guess being a manager isn't that bad, and the girls volley ball team couldn't be that bad right? I started to head back to the office like yesterday. Once i reached the front desk I spoke the same woman from yesterday.

"I'd like to apply to the girls volley ball team as their manager?"

She nodded and started typing on her computer. A few seconds later she turned back to me, "It looks like you just missed the spot... someone applied yesterday afternoon, but..." she continued to type, "...it looks like there's a manager spot open on the boys team! If you're okay with that I can recommend you to the coach."

I thought about it for a few seconds. "Uhm... sure i guess."

"Great! I'll get back to you next week and tell you if he excepts you."
