Making Changes
-Ashley-
So far, we had kissed three times.
I had had kisses before.
But this. This kiss was different.
This kiss sent sparks through the air. The only people in the world were me and Harry. There was no waitress taking our plates. There were no fans snapping pics. Only Ashley and Harry.
When we finally pulled away, we both whispered, "Whoa," under our breath.
"This is crazy. I had a dream this would happen. This is something someone would dream. Not something someone would live. And the best thing is, you're even better as a person than Harry Styles of One Direction.
"You're as handsome as can possibly be, and you're much sweeter than I thought was even physically possible. I don't think there's anyone better than you, Harry." I smiled and twisted a finger in a curl of his hair.
"And you're beautiful." I laughed when he said that. Harry Styles thought I was beautiful? Does he need eye surgery? "What? Why are you laughing?" He was really confused as to why I had laughed. Stupid me just had to be self conscious.
"I think you need corrective vision surgery. I'm not beautiful. Someone like you deserves someone much better than me." I sighed and looked down.
He tilted my face up to look at him. He said, "Ashley. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I don't lie." Then, he proved it to me. He brought my face closer to his, then leaned in and kissed me. He ran his tongue along my lip, begging for entrance. Is this what I wanted? To make out with Harry Styles? The flirt of the band? I finally gave in and let him in. I had never made out with a boy before, so it was really awkward for me. He pulled back and looked into my eyes. "Ashley?" He innocently asked.
"Yes, Harry?" What was he about to ask?
"I know we basically just met and all, but...uhm...do you want to be my girlfriend?" This caught me totally off guard. Of course I wanted to be his girlfriend. Who wouldn't? But, I was too afraid of getting hurt.
"I don't know, Harry. I've had a lot of boyfriends over the years. I don't want to be hurt anymore." I couldn't look him in the eyes, afraid of hurting him because he seemed to like me so much.
"There's something about you that makes me want to change. I don't want a lot of one night stands. I don't want a lot of sex with girls. I want you. That's all I want. We can figure everything else out later. But, I'm crazy about you. From the moment I saw you in the crowd, I knew I had to have you. No one else was going to have you. We were meant to be. I'll cook for you. I'll be romantic and silly with you. I'll be the best boyfriend you've ever had. But, none of that really matters. What matters is I will never, ever hurt you. I love you." The last three words caught me off guard. Did Harry Styles just tell me he loved me?
"Okay, I guess I'll be your girlfriend. But if you hurt me just once, I'll have to move on. I can't deal with a guy who will hurt me." I smiled and he gently kissed my lips before speaking.
"Wonderful. Now, let's get out of here. I know of a brilliant place we can get away to for a couple hours." He winked and pulled me out of the restaurant to our next destination.
