"Hi baby", I said as I sat down next to him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Whatcha doing?", I asked, peeking over his shoulder. "Nothing", he said and hid his phone quickly. "Hey!", I complained. He looked at me defiantly but very soon his look softened. "It's just...", he said shyly, "These negative comments about you – I am sorry for bringing you in this kind of situation." I gently took the phone out of his hands and put it away. Then I put my hands on his face and said with all sincerity: "It's not your fault at all. And I am alright. Please – When will you finally believe me this?" He smiled sadly and tilted his head as he answered: "I won't ever stop caring about you and therefore also won't ever stop feeling sorry." I sighed: "Then I won't ever stop telling you this." His face lit up at least a bit as he said: "I hope so. But wait for it – We'll prove them we're meant to be." "You bet!", I replied relieved and kissed him. When we pulled away, he said in a dreamy voice: "Wow. We must be meant to be – I am not letting you go." I laughed and kissed him again.
Later that day JK instructed me to enjoy Paris a bit and stroll around the city while they were rehearsing. I was protesting at first but in the end he had me convinced. Leo got sent off as well and with some of the security guys we departed. We wandered around the streets, sat down at a café and just enjoyed the beautiful day that luckily also was blessed with beautiful sunshine. On time for the concert, we came back to the site and took our seats in the VIP area. The concert started and Leo and I did the usual singing-along, dancing and enjoying ourselves. I was already pretty hyped up when Euphoria started. It was one of my favourite songs since I heard it the first time and I cheered extra loud when it started. Leo grinned at me widely while I watched the stage in amazement. When the guy fastened the belt around him, I once again thought about how we both flew over the arena in London. How beautiful must it look now, filled with all those precious and lovely persons. I understood JK so much. Singing along, still dazzled, I suddenly realized that the part was coming up when Jungkook was lowered again. But instead of going straight to the centre of the stage, the mechanism came towards us – Leo and me. With loving eyes Jungkook looked straight at me and reached out his hand when "Take my hands now" was played. I took it and tried to hold back the tears that came up from me being so moved. With the most beautiful "You are the cause of my euphoria" he got lifted up again and our hands had to let go. Astonished and probably blushing once again, I looked after him. He spread out his one arm and yelled: "Everyone of you!" In his next break, I ran down to the backstage area and jumped into his arms. He laughed and hugged me tightly. "You ARE the cause of my euphoria, you know that?", he whispered. I nodded, refusing to let go any time soon.
We enjoyed Paris to the fullest before going back to Korea. Sighing I let myself drop on our couch and dreamingly said: "Home, sweet home." Laughing Jungkook sat down next to me. We sat there for some time, enjoying the silence before I jumped back up, making Jungkook flinch. "Let's go see Cino. And Jacob, of course!", I suggested enthusiastically. He shook his head smiling and got up, putting an arm around me. We stepped out into the garden and took in the sight for a short second before getting surprised by loud barking on the other side of the fence and Jacob's soft voice, asking Cino what seemed to be the problem. "I'm afraid it's us", Jungkook answered grinning. Just the next second the door opened and as fast as lighting Cino ran towards us while Jacob was standing there, smiling widely. The dog didn't stop whining and greeting us happily. "Welcome back", Jacob smiled at us.
We sat on the terrace until late at night, together with Jacob and talked about everything. Despite our expectations, our neighbour had heard about what had happened in London and Paris and was smiling along with us. We had a very long and serious talk about me being a person of public interest now, resulting in Jacob reminding us once more to be role models and not doing anything stupid, but also lifting us up by saying we did a pretty good job until now. He reassured both of us that we shouldn't listen to the ones who were trying to destroy our relationship "because everyone can see that it is precious and honest. And you should never destroy something so beautiful." With a loving smile he added: "And I still can't believe how much Jungkook grew since he met you, Katy. You two are just plain good for each other, despite some hard moments you had and will have. Please, don't forget that ever." I blushed and Jungkook proudly said: "She definitely is good for me." A bit quieter he added: "I just hope I can pay her back." "You do", I whispered back and leaned against him, almost forgetting about Jacob who was still smiling lovingly at us. The moon was up high as we finally said our goodbyes and each of us headed into our homes. Cino didn't leave our side and for this night he was even allowed to sleep in our bed – mostly because we couldn't keep him from doing so. Like usually.
