Chapter 4

(From Alex's point of view.)

I don't even know what happened. I only know that I fell asleep and that I was on Zayn's shoulder and he did something to infuriate Liam. Then they fought over me and broke Zayn's nose and dislocated Liam's shoulder. I couldn't stand to look at them anymore at the moment. For the first week I refused to leave my house and the only three people I would talk to was Niall, Bryana and Harry.

I was talking to Bryana and I was so close to tears, I had to struggle to hold it in.

"What do I do with Liam or Zayn? Bryana, I love him and Zayn is my best friend besides you."

"Alex I don't know. I don't like Liam at all because Niall is brilliant. But with you I know it's Liam for your and I think we need to tell that to Zayn. Me and Niall not you. You will be off at the amusement park with your beau tomorrow. Harry's treat. A double date with you guys and Harry with Amanda."

"I think that will be fun thanks Bry! Go get Liam please, I don't want to face Zayn right now."

She nodded and ran across the yard and I watched out the window to see her laughing with Liam while he had that nervous grin on his face that I knew all too well. The only thing is, I didn't smile back, i was still mad at him for what he did. Although it was harder to be mad because of that smile And the cast on his left arm.

He came into my room and gave me a huge hug. I just stood there for a few moments until I couldn't help being in his warm familiar embrace. I started sobbing into his chest considering he was like five or six inches taller than me.

"I don't understand why this had to happen to me!!! Zayn should find someone else because its you and not him! Liam I love you more than anything. I love Zayn too but in a brotherly way. He needs to understand that.

"Plus, I, I don't know what to say Liam! I can't seem to stop crying. It's been to darn days and that's it!!! It seems like more than that. It only I had my parents here with me. You know it's been eight years Liam?"

"Love, calm down, I'm here and always will be. Zayn should back off and we both kn-"

"Do NOT bring that up Liam Payne. I don't want to hear it anymore. Not at least until I figure it out for myself. I need to not you. Do you understand?"

He nodded open agreement which satisfied me enough. I grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him into a long passionate kiss. We slumped back onto my bed as our kisses became more and more hungry. We just stayed there for what seemed like forever but was probably only like eight minutes. We broke apart and just sat and talked.

Eventually he brought up what I didn't ever want to talk about. My parents. "You know Alex, you never told me about what happened."

"It's because I never wanted to. Eight years ago, back in Ohio, we lived In a big house.

When I was ten, a fire started, I managed to get out with about a thousand dollars in my p octet because my dad gave it to me for Christmas that day. Yes, it was Christmas Day. I was the only one who survived. I lost my mom, dad, three brothers, and twin sister. I got a taxi Ans told him to take me to the airport which was two minutes away. Once I got there, I bought a ticket to London with the money I had and called my grandma to meet me at the airport. I've been in London ever since. It's why I never come out on Christmas. The pain is unbearable." By this time, I apwas bawling my eyes out.

Liam grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his chest. I sat there and sobbed.

"Alex I'm so sorry. I won't ask you anything else We have a concert on Christmas Eve this year and I hope you will come."

"I will.i promise" I kissed him, just a short, but meaningful kiss on the lips.

With that, we fell asleep in each others arms.

"Alex! Wake up! We are going to the park in two hours and its an hour drive! Get up Liam!"

I woke up to Harry yelling at the both of us to get up. I groaned and rolled over onto something warm, which so happened to be Liam. "Haz! Give me a minute to actually wake up before you rolls both out of bed next time."

"Just get up ok?!"

"Ok, ok Hazza."

"Good. Try not to hurt each other getting up." With that he got up off my bed and left to go call Amanda.

Liam an I looked at each other and smiled.

"Good morning beautiful." Liam said with a smile.

"I don't think beautiful is the word door looking for. I think that word is gross, fat, or ugly."

"Now I know those words are not true for my girlfriend. The three words that come to mind when I see you are beautiful, perfect, and, well, whenever I see you, I'm speechless."

I looked at him and just smiled. Then, I got up to brush my teeth and put in makeup. I wanted to go natural so I put on concealer, brown eyeliner, and all natural brown eyeshadow. Then I went into my closet and picked out a cute, but comfortable outfit. It was a dark blue tank top, white sweater, navy scarf and black leggings. It was a warmish day, so it was perfect to go to the amusement park today. When I came out, I found Liam in the same spot as before, but in a navy shirt, dark jeans and white converse. God, he was hot.

"Let's go babe. We don't want to keep Haz waiting. Plus, I want to go on some roller coasters with the girl of my dreams" he said to me worth that dreamy voice I loved so much.

"Ok, let's go." I laced my fingers into his and we walked out I my house and across the street to the boys house. When we got in there, Amanda was waiting for us. I look ather and smiled. "It's nice to finally meet you"

"I'm Amanda and I am so happy that I could finally meet you! I've seen you in ,magazines and everything but have always wanted to meet you!" She gave me a great big hug.

"And now you have. I'm Alex by the way." I turned to Harry. "Haz, are you ready?"

"Yeah, Alex hold on. Let mek get my shoes. Mande, wait just one second." He gave her a peck on the cheek and ran to get his shoes. When he came back, I wanted to go and get an explanation from Zayn but Liam wouldn't like it so I stayed put. Why did it have to be me?
