What kind of person is Shen Miao?

If a person asks a student from the Hall of Extensive Writings, regardless of whether that student comes from the first, second, or third level, all of them will say: A stupid, cowardly nobody who still insists on pretending to be pure, calm, and virtuous.

Her appearance is nothing special, her temperament is nothing spectacular, and she has no talents to speak of at all. Aside from that, she is also such a lovestruck fool that everyone in Dingjing is aware that she is enamored with Prince Ding.

Who is the most outstanding girl in the Hall of Extensive Writings? Of course, it is Shen Yue. But if that is so, then who is the most disappointing?  Of course, it is Shen Miao.

They are both daughters of the Shen family, but their reputations are not similar at all. Everyone has grown accustomed to Shen Miao standing like a maid beside Shen Yue. Thus, when a day comes that Shen Miao no longer acts like the Shen Miao they have grown accustomed to, everyone will feel slightly uncomfortable.

Yi Pei Lan pushes Shen Yue lightly. "Lady Yue, is it possible that your younger sister's fever confounded her? Why is she like a new person today?"

Shen Yue stares at Shen Miao, also puzzled. It seems as if ever since she woke up after falling into the pond, Shen Miao's nature has changed dramatically. Jiang Cai Xuan is taken aback, and so is every person in the room. Perhaps they did not think that Shen Miao will treat this matter so tepidly. Jiang Cai Xuan finds Shen Miao's attitude to be an eyesore, so she she immediately asks, "Now that the fever has abated, then should giving an apology to His Imperial Highness Prince Ding not be the first priority? But instead of doing that, coming to the academy has been done first. Is this not a case of doing things out of order?"

Shen Miao takes a deep breathe. None of the students around her, neither the boys nor the girls, intend to speak on her behalf. She is a person without any friends, and watching her embarrass herself is probably the only kind of fun that these noble children have in the academy.

She glances at the different expressions on the faces of the people around her, and looks at the gloating light in Shen Qing's eyes. Shen Yue speaks up just as Shen Miao is about to live. "His Imperial Highness Prince Ding is openminded and will not blame Fifth Younger Sister for this trivial matter. Fifth Younger Sister came to the academy because of her eagerness to learn, which is good."

He shoots Shen Miao a malicious look before continuing, "Who can tell if she fell into the pond deliberately? Is this not how the plots of romantic plays go? The hero rescues the beauty who has fallen into the water and then promises himself to her. Although...the ending of this plot has been predicted incorrectly!" After speaking, he also finds his own words funny and promptly bursts into laughter.
