Piper's POV - Blonde Roommate

"Oh okay, you're weird. Nice to meet you, Leo", I said

"You know what, I like your attitude. Let me show you around.", he offered.

"Err, no thanks?", I said.

Ignoring his weird look of a guy who just got rejected, i smiled. I had made my first friend in a new big town.

My father would be proud of me.

My father. I missed him. He was out of town most of the time. So I had to live with my Aunt. I hadn't seen him in months. I wish he was here to see his baby girl making friends from the big city.

Overcoming my homesickness and nostalgia, I walked to the main building. I took a right turn and gasped as I saw the biggest hallway infront of me. Its walls had traditional patterned wallpaper. They were torn in places but looked majestic. They housed a number of portraits of scholars, royal family, novel characters, martyrs, paintings from books, historical events. I smiled at a picture of naked Adam and Eve.

Gross, why didn't they atleast cover their groins!

I checked a big old wall clock which said I was late for lunch. I walked to my dorm room as fast as I could. My roommate whoever they were, had already unpacked. I sprinted down the hall and staircase without taking a proper look at my room.

The mess hall had a very high ceiling with the biggest chandelier at the center. The tables were lined up in three rows. The walls had numerous paintings.

From where the hell do they get so many paintings!

I took a vacant seat and grabbed the nearest sandwich. The ride from Tahlequah had taken the hell out of my tired body. I could've passed out if I stayed hungry a little more while. The food was delicious. I wondered how long the cooks would have taken to prepare food for about 700 children.

After lunch, I went back to my dorm finding a blonde girl and the black haired guy kissing in the balcony infront of a breathtaking sunset. The lovebirds kissed passionately, their silhouette, the red sun and the pink sky with occasional storm clouds hovering, made me wonder if they were the most perfect couple in the world. Before i realised, i was staring at them and intruding their privacy, they noticed me and instantly pulled apart.

"Im sorry I didn't mean to stare.", I apologized.

"No, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked my boyfriend to come over", she said.

"Oh, its okay. I'm Piper Mclean", I held out my hand.

"Hi, Piper. I'm Annabeth, your roommate and this is my boyfriend Percy.", she said.
