Annabeth
I couldn't believe it.
Silena Beauregard. Daughter of Aphrodite. She was supposed to be dead. Yet here she was, standing right in front of me.
"Hey, Annabeth." She said.
"Silena? What are you doing here? I thought you were-" I stopped myself, not wanting to say it.
"Dead? Yeah, me too. But I don't seem so dead anymore." She said.
"How in hades are you here?" I almost screamed. The last time I had seen her was when she reveled herself as a spy, right before she died.
"I don't know. One minute I was a ghost in the underworld, the next, I was back in Manhattan, the same spot I- I died."
Then, I realized something. "Wait, how long have you been in the mortal world?" I asked. I had a bad feeling I knew how she came from the underworld.
"I don't know. A couple of months, maybe?"
"Oh, my gods this is bad," I groaned. Couldn't we take a break? I mean, I was happy that I could see Silena again, but if her being here meant what I thought, we could be in lots of trouble.
"We need to go see Chiron, if your here, I you're here, then..." I trailed off, seeing her hurt expression. "I mean I'm happy to see you again," I said quickly, "it's just, if what I think is happening is happening, we could be in lots of trouble."
"What's happening? Why do you look so concerned?" She asked worriedly.
"It's a long story, right now we need to go see Chiron," I started pulling her out of my cabin and toward the big house.
We got a few stares from the other campers along the way. Some people pointed at Silena and gasped. I just ignored them and walked past, dragging Silena behind me.
We entered the big house where Chiron was. He looked up from what he was doing, then nearly toppled out of his wheelchair (If that was even possible for him) when he saw Silena.
"Where- but- how? What are you doing here? How are you here?"
I pulled her forward. "Chiron, she said she landed in the mortal world a few months back, when we were having the war with Gaea."
"Wait, you had a war with the earth mother? And you won?" Silena said this last part with so much disbelief. I had forgotten she wasn't there.
"Yeah, we did," I told her, "and the doors of death were open then too. Which means if your back then the others..."
Chiron put the pieces together. "Oh my gods, this is bad. Hades will be looking for the missing souls."
My mind started racing with all the possibilities. Charlie, Bianca... Luke. Luke would be alive!
I didn't know what I would do. Could I face him again?
