Annabeth

I found myself in a clearing different from the one I'd just left.

I looked around, and suddenly, Thalia appeared in front of me.

"Annabeth? What're we..." She trailed of as she looked around. "Where are we?"

"I don't know. I heard something and followed it and," I shrugged. "Here I am."

"But... how did we get here? Wherever here is.

"I don't know but we have to catch up with the others soon. They're probably all heading to mount Othrys, like we were going to before everyone split up." We had decided to check the old Titan base because even though it was in ruins, due to what camp Jupiter had done during the battle of Manhattan, we figured it was still a good hideout.

"Okay." Thalia sounded a little uncertain still. "It's just weird that me and you got split up. Kind of feels like before."

I didn't have to ask her what she meant by before. She was talking about the good times. When Luke Thalia and I were on the run from monsters just trying to stay alive.

"Kind of... except, you know, Luke isn't here." I started thinking of what would happen when we saw him. The part of this quest I dreaded more then anything. "Do you miss him?"

"What? Oh your talking about Luke. When I came back from being a pine tree, and found out Luke was working with Kronos, I wanted to believe he wasn't completely bad and there was still a chance he could come back. But when I saw him on mount Othrys..." She lowered her voice. "He would have killed me, Annabeth. He was ready to do it."

I didn't know what to say. I couldn't imagine Luke killing Thalia or me. It just wasn't him. It was Kronos. Everything that happened was because of Kronos. Luke had died trying to save me. I had to believe that.
