As Samantha calmed down she immediately went to him.
"Hey, are you okay?" Samantha asked,
"I am now, Thanks!" The guy replied
"Why were they picking on you?" I asked as I looked at him.
"Oh, its nothing," he replied, without even looking at me.
I backed up and let Samantha talk with him.
"Brady, you use to be friends with those guys," Samantha said.
"Why were they doing what they did earlier?" Samantha asked looking a bit tensed again.
"Its fine, Alright?!" In a high tone.
"We'll work things out so mind your own business!" He added before leaving.
"Is he always like that?" I asked.
" *Sighs* Yes, actually," Samantha replied .
"He seems to think I always bug him," Samantha added looking a bit glum.
For someone I only met earlier I feel like we've been friends for years.
"But you're only helping him, right?" I said.
"Yeah, I just wish he'd see it," Samantha replies, sighing.
"He will, eventually!" I replied in a chirpy attitude.
Samantha smiles.
"Yep!"
*Bell rings*
"Wanna go to our seats now?" I asked.
Its kinda awkward actually.
"Yeah, sure," replied Samantha.
Donnie and his friends come in the room before the teacher arrives.
For some reason, Brady is also with them.
I didn't mind however, since Sam said that they are friends.
But as I look at Samantha, the way she looks at them, I could tell that she is worried.
She's like a mom, only cooler and younger.
*Door opens
"Okay class, Good afternoon!" Greeted the teacher.
"I'm sure everyone is acquainted with each other now so I'll only introduce myself,"
"I am mister Viego, I will be your teacher for music and arts,"
"As long as you've got the materials, and you know what you're doing, you won't fail in this class," said the teacher before sitting down.
"This teacher seems pretty cool," I said.
"The only cool teacher in school from what I heard," Samantha replied.
"By the way students, I will be asking you to bring any coloring materials, we'll be starting arts tomorrow since to take thing slow," The teacher stated.
"Yes sir," the class responded.
"Okay, for now you can do whatever you want,"
"Another free hour," I said.
"What do you wanna do Sam?" I asked her.
---
No response.
I looked at Samantha and she was still focused on Donnie and the bunch.
"Sam, Sam!" I called.
"Oh, Pauline, what is it?" She asked, her eyes still glued to the guys.
"You're really worried huh?" I asked with a smug face.
"I am," she replied, clearly not paying attention.
"You have a crush?" I asked.
She comes back to her senses and starts looking at me.
"No, of course not!" Sam replied reddening about what she heard.
"Then, why are you blushing?" I asked eagerly.
"That story is for another time Pauline," Samantha replied.
"Okay fine," I replied.
"What do you wanna do now Samantha?" I now ask as she's paying attention now.
"Well, I wanted to know more about you," She responded.
"What about me?" I asked.
"How was your class last year?"
"My class??!" I got anxious.
"Is it okay if we talk about something else?" I requested.
"Well, Okay, what about your classma--"
"No no no stop stop stop," I interrupted.
"C'mon Pauline, wouldn't it be better to talk about what's bugging us rather than keeping it to ourselves?" Samantha said.
She did make a good point, not gonna lie.
"I don't think I'm ready to talk about it yet." I replied
"That's okay, we don't need to rush things,"
"Thank you Samantha," I replied smiling so widely.
I start to hug her.
"I wish I could've met you earlier in my life," I said starting to feel teary.
Samantha hugs me back.
"I feel like we've already known each other for a long time," I added.
"I feel the same," she replied
"Thank you again Samantha,"
"Your always welcome Pauline,"
