Chapter Twelve: Shadows, Plugs and a new Frenemy

*' Tower remains, 2:07pm '*

My body was in a state of shock. I wanted to get out of there but I was paralyzed. I don't know how or why but this shadow flower scared me the hell out. I'm not sure if its because of what happened yesterday or just knowing the fact that he could explode a whole building with just a snap of his clawed fingers. Either way I still couldn't move. My eyes were wide open, which I rarely do. My heart was beating a hundred miles a second getting ready for me to do a flight or fight move. Rex slowly moved his hand closer and closer to my face. His sharp claws reaching to where supposedly my chin would be. Though my body was tense I was able to move my head just enough to keep his claws from touching me. He then quickly released his nettle from his scropin like tail. That made me ball up my hands into fist. The nettle was about 5 to 6 inches long, just the right size to do some real damage. As Rex did that his already large sinister grin gotten wider. At that moment I was tired of being the sacred mouse. The moment he moved his tail I quickly changed into my giant gear and rolled out of the way. I then switched back summon a claw and slammed Rex to the ground.

"Oh I thought you would be stuck like a statue forever. But if you think you doing that is gonna hurt me think again bubble gum cube."

He slipped out of my grasp and then sucker punched me in the face. I snarled then summoned a saw blade and slashed it at him but he dodged it at the last second and tripped me over. I was able to stop myself before my face met the ground. I stood myself back up getting myself ready for Rex's next attack.

" I thought you were a better fighter then that." "From the one that only got a sucker punch in that didn't even hurt." "You are going to eat those words once you join me on the darkside." "I'm never gonna work for you!" "We'll see."

I knew I could have started a Close to Me and beat that shadow flower into dust. I was actually going to too, but yet again he could possibly already know my attack patterns for that and get me mid battle. I need a strategy. I guess I was to lost in my thoughts because when I snapped back to reality Rex had a hold of the claw that I forgot to despawn. I tried to use that to my advantage but he was a lot stronger then I thought. It was a tug-of-war and I was losing by a lot. He then flung me using my own claw and I slammed into one of the remaining beams in the rumble.

"Lesson number one about fighting don't space out." "Why are you giving me fighting advice?"

I slid down the beam and moved my hair out of my face.

"Because if I'm gonna beat you into chewed gum I want to rub it in your face as much as I can." "Well if that's the case the only thing you'll be rubbing is a is a ice pack to the new black eye I'm about to give you." "Try me shorty." "Oh your really gonna regret saying that word."

I didn't want to resort to using these but this guy is starting to give me no choice. I despawned the claw I had out then summoned two drills. I then instantly sent them underground so Rex couldn't see where I was sending them. He looked at me with a grin on his face like he was waiting for me to do this. I didn't care that much, I then went at him sending punches left and right at him. He then blocked every last one I sent at him. Rex then came at me with multiple attacks as well. I was able to dodge most of his attacks, but the last punch he sent landed right at my chest. My chest wasn't in the best condition for taking hits. My chest was sore but I sucked in the pain and continued fighting.

"I have to admit this fight is a lot better then the one we had yesterday in the industry. But still not that hard." " yeah because yesterday had fight you and protect the inhabitants of the factory. But now I can go wild..."
