Chapter Ten : What's Next?

^Cubic's  PoV^
*'Cube's house, Sunday, 10:15am'*

   Last night I was restless. I couldn't sleep, and I didn't want to. Frankly I was surprised that I actually did. All night thoughts of what happened that day filled my mind. I wasn't even able to dream. It was just back to back to back, flash backs of all the terrible things I did. I wish have rather had a nightmare, then have to feel all that regret that I felt seeing all those flash backs. When I woke up I came to a odd yet pleasant surprise. All four heros sleeping on top of me. Orange and Cyan lining against me, Cyan on the right Orange on the left. Gold and Green slept on my head, with Green being in my hair. I didn't want to wake them up, so I just stayed there In my body less form watching the four of them sleep. It was a good minute or two before they woke up. Which was kinda lucky that I didn't have to be there for a half hour waiting for them to wake up.
"You finally woke you sleepy heads."    "Oh goodmorning Cubic, I totally forgot you were here."    "Wow from the shape that was just leaning against me sleeping five seconds ago."     "Hey, Cubic did you know that you purr in your sleep?"     "Lycan two questions, One how long where you watching us sleep and Two don't you mean snore not purr?"     "For your second question, No you actually do purr in your sleep its adorable. And for your first question, I've been only watching you guys for about ten minutes. I was the first one to wake up. Barracuda and Macabre are outside with Heli and Captain and Blixer is still sound asleep."    "Ok now your turn color crew, how come you four were sleeping on me like it was free real estate."        "Gold do you care to explain?"    "Nope, Cyan you tell him."   "What, let Orange do it."    "I'm not gonna say it."   "Omg if I explain it can you guys stop complaining?"    "Yes please."     "Ok fine.  So pretty much Gold had a nightmare."    "I did not!"    "You totally did.  Usually when any of us have a nightmare we go to Cube....but you know."      "Ok go on."    "So Gold went into me and Oranges room a woke me up. So after that me and Gold went down stairs. I tried asking him what was his nightmare but he didn't want to say anything."     "And I'm still not till Cube is back."       "Heh I wish i could help with that but i have no clue how. Now can we go back to the story."          "Oh right, I had to literally had to drag Gold into the living room. Around that time you just fell asleep. So  I had a theory that once you fell asleep there was a chance when you wake you be Cube again like what happened in the tower."      "Well your theory was wrong, I'm still here and have to deal with you guys."    "Well to shorten this down Gold placed himself on your head  and amazingly fell asleep and I was to tired to go back to my room so I got cozy in your hair and fell asleep. And I got to say your hair is mad soft like a pink cloud."     "After that I woke up to get a glass of water."      "And I woke up for a midnight taco."      "Orange it wasn't midnight it was like 4:30 in the morning."     "I now Cyan its just a saying."     "Well anyway we found the three of you sleeping and we were mad tired so we decided to join in."     "Pfft I can't believe you had enough trust to actually sleep with me. Especially you Gold, wasn't it just yesterday that you said you wanted me to die. Wow such a quick change of mind."         "Well some things had to change for the time being."       "Mhmmm yeah totally."
      I looked at Gold with a smug grin. The look in his face was priceless. Even Lycan giggled to my little joke. I changed back to my bodied form and stretched. I went to reach for my pockets but then I remembered that I left my Jacket in the bathroom to dry. So then I quickly went up stairs and grabbed it from the bathroom. Before I walked out the room I took minute to take a good look at that mirror. I know what I saw, at least I think I do. After spending a little to long of a time looking at the mirror I decided to go wake up Blixer. As I stepped into the room I took out my mini microphone from my tool belt. I held the microphone tightly in my hands and took a deep breath. Then as loud as I can with all my might I shouted into the microphone...
"CLOSEEEEE TOOOO MEEEEEE!"
   Blixer jumped from his sleep and fell face first into the ground letting out a pain filled groan.   Oops...
"Ooow..."      "Goodmorning wormy boi and sorry about that."       "You did that on purpose didn't you?"      "Maybe, maybe not. I had to find some way to wake you."       "And out of all the ways you chose to do that."      "Well according you from the little story time that Lycan made you do, you said in the form your in now it's difficult to wake you."           "Your probably just looking for an excuse for waking me the way you did."       "Maybe, maybe not but I'm not gonna tell you."
   I picked up Blix with one of my claws and brought him to the livingroom.
"I don't need to be picked up Cubic, I can get around here just fine."      "I know, but I'm not risking you falling down the stairs again.  Also this can be a sorry for waking you up the way I did."        "Mhmmmm yeah totally..."      "Ok fine If it will make you happy I'll also make pancakes for everyone. ok?"   "You cooking, ok I need to see this."    "Hey if you can cook so can I."    "You seem oddly jolly for after all that happened yesterday."        "Oh shut it Blix. I'm completely fine after yesterday."    "Ok that's the Cubic I know.  Also you sure you alright?"    "Like I said I'm fine, and oh look we're in the living room."
   I released Blixer from my grasp and despawned my claw. He hit the ground with a thud then let out an annoyed groan. He then quickly stood himself up trying to not embarrasse himself in front of everyone. I was about to head into the kitchen to go make those pancakes I promised Id make but then Barracuda and Macabre walked in and Cuda didn't look so happy.
"Cubic do you care to explain."  "Explain what?"      "Explain why you shouted 'Close to me' at the top of your lungs so the whole town could hear."  "Oh that, I was waking up Blixer."   "Well you waking him up almost gave me a heart attack and made me think you where having a boss battle in the middle of the house."      "Well sorry Barracuda I didn't think you'd over react that much."       "The cotton candy head is right you know, your kinda over reacting quite a bit."     " Macabre say out of this. Also Cubic we found traces of Corruption in the water in the river out by the dock."      ".. And your assuming that I did something about that."       "Yes, what ever you did last night got the waters corrupted."       "Did you forget that last night that I woke up from almost dr¤wn¡ng and i don't know ho₩ +ha+ happe^ed! For all you know me dr¤wn¡ng (ou/d have made the water p¡nk."      "Guys there's no need to fight. We can easily just purify the water. "        "Cubic is your voice alright it glitched again?"       "My ^¤¡(€ is fine Lycan. Ima go make breakfast could you guys leave me be till I'm done with that."
      I walked out and headed to the kitchen. Before I could start raiding the cabinets I needed to cough. And load and behold blood came out of the cough. Isn't that just Sweeell. Now I have one more thing to add to my list of things to worry about. I just want us to find Rex, beat him up and turn him good so this torture could end...
