Chapter Eleven: Getting Things Rolling

^Trigons PoV^
*'Rex's Base,Sunday, 9:05am'*

   I would walk in at exactly 9:05 with supplies in one hand and an apple in the other. As I knew from yesterday today was gonna be a busy day. There was shapes zooming left and right. Bringing stuff from all sides of the base every where else. Even the new recruits that Rex just got yesterday were already working their butts off. I'd walk the many stairs down into the lab and put down my supplies on my desk. I would then turn around and see Rex with a not so glad expression.

"Well good morning Rex. Seems like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed." "First off I don't sleep and second off last night I told you to stay here for the night to keep an eye on Night Opal." "Just so you know the reason why I left to home last night was to get supplies for YOUR upcoming plan, which I still don't think is a good idea. Also what could Night Opal do so bad within such a short time period?" "Well since you weren't here last night they didn't want to listen to me since I wasn't their "creator". So they started drilling a hole in my newly polished floor and they haven't stopped since they started." "I swear to the Tree of Life.. ~sigh~ where is this hole you speak of."

Rex would then lead me to the very back end of the lab. It seems like I haven't been in this part of the lab for while. Most of the lights were either really dim or not working at all. There were also a good amount of cobwebs as well. He would then point at a six foot wide hole.

"This is the hole our little creation have been digging." "So how deep is this hole anyway." "Well last time I checked it was about ten feet deep and it had a short branching tunnel." " Well at least we know that they can do what I designed them to do." "Destroying my property." "NO. Digging you idiot." "Wow have you ever heard of a joke before. Also you shouldn't be calling your master an idiot." "For the last time your not my master. The only reason why I'm working for you is to keep Barracuda safe." "You can't protect him forever and anyway we should probably get Night Opal before that tunnel gets bigger, I told the two pink heads to meet me at the gate at 10 o'clock and I'm not gonna ruin my reputation of always being a few minutes early." "Well let's get going then."

The two of us jumped in the the hole in the search for Night Opal. It was almost pitch black in there with the only light coming from hole above. There was also not that much room to move around other then straight. According to what Rex described the short tunnel was no longer short. From what I can see with my one eye in this darkness was that this tunnel goes for at least a good half a mile or so. Frankly I'm surprised that with in just a few hours they were able to make a tunnel this long. But this also worries me that Rex's plan might actually work. Well anywho we quickly traveled through the tunnel. The farther we got the harder it was to see where we were going. To be honest I'm glad it was going in a straight line because I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face. As we got deeper and deeper there was a noticeable vibrating in the tunnel. At this point we knew we were getting closer. At the beginning it started as slight vibrating but soon after it became violent shaking, almost like a earthquake. I didn't notice at first but the tunnel started to get brighter. It wasn't like outside bright but it was bright enough for me to see where we going.

"Hey blue illuminati we're getting really close. I can sense the darkness from Night Opal, their not that much farther." "That's good to know. Once we find them we can get back to your base and get what we need to do done. Besides the faster we get out of this tunnel the better, this dirt is ruining my lab coat. Also could you please not call me blue illuminati." "Why can't I, your son gets called illuminati all the time. Also I'm Your boss I can call you what ever I want my slave." "Can you stop mentioning my son. Also for the 84th time I'm not your slave." "Wow you actually keep count on how many times I called you slave I'm impressed. Also let's make this the 85th time my slave."
