Fleeting

She was grasping at straws here.

Feferi Peixes, former heiress to the Alternian throne, was absolutely, hopelessly LOST. She had very few people to talk with about this, and those who would talk sure didn't offer the best advice. And besides! She hadn't heard from her in forever! She'd try messaging her, keeping tips from her 'fronds' in mind, but it was rare for her to message back.

What was she busy with? Was she just preparing with Sollux for this game he was fixing up? Or maybe...on a...spelunking trip? Cave exploration? Maybe just digging around in her yard again?

She was running out of straws.

Jeez, no one told her anything! All Feferi knew was that apparently Aradia had been sooo different after a FLARP session with Vriska, Tavros, and Terezi. Apparently Vriska did something to her? In an old conversation, she remembered Aradia had said that Vriska had got her back...but never told her for what! And in a few of their short conversations a while ago, she hadn't sounded any different! Angry about Vriska's actions, furious even, of course! But nothing more out of the ordinary. If anything, the last time she talked to her, she had sounded a little down in the dumps.

But her FLARPing partner had his legs ruined! FLARPing was ruined for her! Duh she was sad!

      ...right? ...had she gotten worse?

She tugged at her necklaces anxiously.

...she sure wished Aradia would answer one of her messages...she was sure she'd make her feel better...and when she was happy again, she could try and confess!

      Probably!

      Probably not!

      She tried again.

CC: )(ave you been seaing t)(e messages?

CC: Glub?

She waited. She had to give her time to respond, of course! And she didn't want to bother her too much, of course...

She waited one minute. Two minutes. Five minutes. Ten.

All of her anxious necklace tugging would break them...

      She sent another message.

CC: S)(--ELLO?

CC: Aradia?

CC: )(ave you even S---EAN t)(ese? 38(

Another series of messages, either not seen, or ignored.

Feferi gave up for the day. Aradia wasn't going to answer today. Or tomorrow. Aradia wasn't going to answer ever, most likely. She let out a deep sigh, and hung her head.

She closed out her chat log, and swam from her room.

In another corridor, she cooed at the cuttlefish swimming in and out of their cages as she passed. They sure answered her.
