My alarm wakes me up at 6 in the morning, which is extremely early for me. I hate alarms, the noise traumatizes me every single time I hear it. I hop out of my bed and head to the bathroom. I get my hair ready, brush my teeth, and wash my face. After I do everything that needs to be done in the bathroom, I head back to my room to finish packing the rest of my things before I leave. I'm so excited about this trip. I hope Alya and I get a room together in the hotel, that would be so fun. I finally put in the last couple of things in my suitcase, which includes a box of assorted macaroons for Tikki. I put them in the middle of some clothes so that they don't get crushed on the way there.
"All done", I say while standing in front of the suitcase smiling.
"We're going to go to California! That's going to be so fun!", Tikki says enthusiastically.
"I know right! New York was a blast, so hopefully, this is fun too", I reply.
New York. So many fun and exciting things happened in New York. Especially with Adrien. I was so lovesick. But I was happy, I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm still happy.. just, not as much as I was before. On the bright side, there's a statue of Cat Noir and me over there!
I grab my suitcase and start to head outside, almost falling down the stairs a couple of times because of how heavy it is. Since I obviously can't take the suitcase on my bike, I decide to walk to school since it's very close, and my suitcase comes in handy since it has wheels. I get here just on time, 7 am. I hand my suitcase to the person loading them on the bus and get on myself. I walk down the aisle to find an empty seat and spot Alya in the back. She waves, and I start to make my way down to sit with her.
"Over here girl!", she says.
Since she's in the very last seat of the bus all the way in the back, she's sitting in a seat that could fit four people, with Nino to her right. As I'm walking over there, I pass Adrien and Lila sitting next to each other. I look down to my feet just to make sure I don't trip, since whenever I look at Adrien something always manages to go wrong. Since I'm looking down, I can clearly see Lila attempting to trip me by having her foot out in the middle of the aisle. I kick her foot out of the way and continue walking until I finally reach Alya. This is one long-ass bus.
I sit to her left and buckle my seatbelt.
"Hey guys!", I say.
"Hey!", they say in unison.
"Ready to go girl? Didn't forget anything?", Alya asks.
I do a quick mental list of everything I need.
"Yep, got everything. At least I think. I'm so ready!", I say.
"Me too, I needed this", Nino adds.
We have small talk until Miss Bustier makes sure everyone is buckled up and in their seats. She takes attendance, and we're finally good to get going to the airport. The bus ride is about an hour long and it's filled with laughter and jokes, the best bus ride ever.
The bus driver brings us to a stop at the airport and opens the doors so everyone could leave the bus. When we hop off of the bus, we're instructed to grab our suitcases and get in a single file line.
"Hurry everyone! Our flight is in two hours and it'll take a while to get everyone checked in!", Miss Bustier instructs.
Ah, airports. I love airports.
Once everyone grabs their stuff, our teacher leads us inside to check-in. The check-in process takes about an hour and 15 minutes, so we have a spare 45 minutes to spend doing whatever our hearts please.
"Okay everyone, it is currently 9:15. Our plane will take off at exactly 10 am, so I need everyone back here before 9:55. You may explore whatever you want, and feel free to buy whatever you want too. But please, make sure you are here on time and do not get into trouble or bother any other passengers of any other planes. Do we all understand?", Miss Bustier says.
"Yes, we understand", the class says in unison.
She nods and we slowly disburse to different parts of the large airport. Alya and I decide to go to the bathroom before we get on the plane. Hey, you can't blame us. Who knows how many germs airplane bathrooms have.
We walk around the busy airport and eventually our time runs out. Since there was a long line for the bathroom, we have to end up running back to our departure area. Miss Bustier does attendance one last time and gives us our tickets for the plane. I really thought that I was going to be able to choose my seat. Bummer.
We're slowly let on the plane in a single file line.
"What seat number did you get Marinette?", Alya asks.
"18B", I reply.
"Oh damn, we aren't next to each other. I'm 15A", she says with a frown.
Oh lord, please do not sit me next to Lila. Please do not sit me next to Lila. Please do not sit me next to-
The line starts to move quicker and I finally step on the plane. After doing a little bit of walking, Alya finds her seat. She's sitting next to Alix. Please sit me next to someone good.
I walk a little further down and finally find section 18.
Okay, 18A, 18B! Perfect. Looks like I have the aisle to myself. The plane looked too big for the whole class, so it's not that much of a surprise.
I sit right in the middle, on my seat. After making myself comfortable and adjusting, a figure covers my view of the other side of the plane. I look over and see Adrien.
"Sorry, I need to get through, 18A is my seat."
