How to Save a Dragon

Hey guys, forgot to release this yesterday because I woke up very late because of work but I was able to do it now so hope you like it.

Majority of this chapter is OC storyline and I think I did a good job at it. I hope you guys like this.

Hiccup's workshop

Hiccup is at his house waiting for the break in mission to save the Deathgripper. He is drawing a picture of Toothless then his father came in so he hid the pictures.

"Dad! You're back! Gobber's not here, so..." Hiccup said trying to get him to leave.

"I know. I came looking for you." Stoick said which made Hiccup nervous.

"You did?" Hiccup said not knowing what to say.

"You've been keeping secrets." Stoick said which made Hiccup more nervous.

"I... have?" Hiccup said trying to avoid this conversation.

"Just how long did you think you could hide it from me?" Stoick said which made Hiccup start freaking out a little but Stoick didn't notice.

"I don't know what you're..." Hiccup said trying to make sure he does not say anything.

"Nothing happens on this island without me hearing about it." Stoick said in a stern voice.

"Oh?" Hiccup said scared of where this conversation might be headed.

"So. Let's talk about that dragon." Stoick said which made Hiccup scared.

"Oh, gods. Dad I'm so sorry. I was going to tell you. I just didn't know how to--" Hiccup said before getting interrupted by his dad.

"What?! I was hoping for this!" Stoick said to his son happy.

"Uh... you were?" Hiccup confuse by what he is talking about now.

"And believe me, it only gets better! Just wait 'till you spill a Nadder's guts for the first time! And mount your first Gronckle head on a spear! WHAT A FEELING! You really had me going there, son! All those years of the worst Viking Berk has ever seen! Odin, it was rough! I almost gave up on you! And all the while, you were holding out on me! OH, THOR ALMIGHTY! Ah. With you doing so well in the ring, we finally have something to talk about." Stoick said yelling at some parts but still proud of his son.

"Oh, I... brought you something. To keep you safe in the ring." Stoick said as he gave Hiccup an Viking helmet.

"Wow. Thanks." Hiccup sincerely said to his dad.

"Your mother would've wanted you to have it. It's half of her breast plate. Matching set. Keeps her close, y'know? Wear it proudly. You deserve it. You've held up your end of the deal." Stoick said while it was the first time he was ever proud of his son.

"I should really get to bed." Hiccup said knowing that he had to go on the mission to break out the Deathgripper. So by this point he is just trying to get his father away from him and meet up with Einar.

After some awkward goodbyes to one another, Hiccup looked at his window and climes out of it. When he got down he started walking down to the cove where Toothless is but he hear a weird noise in the bushes. When he looks at the area he sees green eyes looking back at him. Einar then stood up with Toothless also standing up since he was laying down.

"Einar, Toothless, you two terrified me." Hiccup said as he was somewhat shock that Einar got Toothless. "So, why did you get Toothless?" Hiccup asked.
