الْقَهَّارُ
AL-QAHHAR
(The All-Prevailing One)
The Dominant, The One who has the perfect Power and is not unable over anything.
Al-Qahhaar is the 15th name of Allah meaning The One who prevails over all creation. The universe runs according to the laws laid down by Allah. He is dominant, the master of all and is victorious over all opposition.
From the root q-h-r which has the following classical Arabic connotations: to overcome, conquer to overpower, master to dominate over, prevail to subdue, subjugate, to compel against one's wishes
The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allah. To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allah, the One, the Prevailing. (Quran 40:16)
