Hidden Love [Rivetra fan fic]

The Finale Pt. 2

A/N: Things get a little steamy in this chapter but no full on smut or anything like that. Just warning everyone. Enjoy the end!

[One week later]

After Levi and Petra fought her father, they headed back towards the palace when they were picked up by Erwin's troops. Aylin was able to find them and direct them in the right direction. When they got back to the palace, a majority of it was filled with holes,but nothing too bad. Levi was immediately made King since his mother was dead. They held a small funeral for her before starting Petra's trial. Everything was explained by Levi and Petra was able to be pardoned since she was forced into a majority of what she did and she saved Levi in the end. She would spend a couple more nights receiving medical attention at the palace before heading back to Marley with Aylin. On the last night of her stay, she decided to head to the palace gardens to see them one last time.

Levi had been so busy with reparations the past week, he couldn't see Petra. Because of her, the rebellion was officially ended and there was no need for him to marry Aylin anymore. Levi decided to head to the gardens for some peace and quiet, which was something he really needed after the week he had. While he was walking through, he saw Petra standing on the small bridge above the pond, the place where he kissed her for the first time.

"I thought you would have been getting ready to leave", Levi yelled to her. Petra turned around to see him walking up to her.

"Yeah, I needed a break and there's something about this place that brings me peace", she told him.

"I know what you mean", Levi smiled. He walked up and stood next to her, the two of them staring up at the stars.

"That nightmare you had that one time, was it about your brother?", Levi asked her.

"It always was. I have had that same nightmare ever since it happened, and I was too weak to save him at the time", she confessed. Levi looked over at her and saw her face lit up in the starlight. She looked just as he did their first night out there, but there was something more mature about her.

"I'm sorry about everything-"

"Stop", Levi interrupted her, "It's all in the past", he said as she turned to face him.

"I have to leave, I can't stay here after everything that has happened. I also have to repair any damage I might have caused with Aylin's family", Petra told him.

"I understand. I won't force you to stay", Levi responded, although it pained him to say it.

"Thank you for everything Levi", Petra said as she placed a kiss on his cheek before walking away, leaving Levi alone.

Once Petra got back to her new, not destroyed room, Aylin was there packing up her things for her. the two haven't seen each other all week and they ran into each other's arms.

"I'm sorry Aylin. I should have told you everything", Petra told her.

"Stop it Petra. You've been through so much to protect my family and I. I'm grateful to have you as my sister", Aylin said as they broke apart. "What are you going to do about Levi? You're just going to leave him?", Aylin asked anxiously.

"What else can I do? I've done so much damage to him, there's no way he would want me here", Petra said.

"Are you kidding me? Petra, are you blind? From what I've noticed, he still looks at you the say way he did when we first got to the palace. Nothing has changed. When we were escaping the base, he told me he loves you. Don't tell me you're just going to leave", Aylin told her. This got Petra thinking.

Levi got back to his room and looked out his window to admire the stars once more. There was a soft knock at the door and Levi yelled for the person to come in, hoping it was Petra.

"Your highness, I just came to let you know you have a free day tomorrow", said Arthur.

"Thank you Arthur, I'm glad your okay after everything", Levi told him.

"Thank you. I am also happy to see you alive and healthy. I am sorry about your mother, she would have been proud of you", Arthur said. Levi only nodded his head as Arthur left. Levi returned to staring out of his window when he heard someone come into his room and close the door.

"Not now Arthur-", Levi turned around and saw Petra standing there. "Petra?".

"Someone told me that you said you love me, is that true?", Petra asked him.

Levi smiled, "It is", he told her.

The two stood there staring at each other for a moment. All of a sudden, Petra started running to Levi and jumped into his arms as she wrapped her legs around his waist and the two kissed each other for what felt like the first time in forever. The kisses started to become deeper as Levi began exploring the inside of her mouth. He put her against the wall and began to move down to her neck. Petra out her head against the wall as she began to let out his name. They weren't in a closet so she didn't have to keep quiet. She began to unbutton his shirt as he continued kissing her neck. He broke from her to help her slip it off. He began to slip off her shirt as well. After he pretty much ripped it off, he moved to get her bra off. Once he did that, he carried her over to his bed where he laid her down. He got on top of her and continued his trail if kisses from her neck down her chest as he pinned her hands to the pillow. He came back up to meet her lips and she flipped him over so she was on top of him. When they were apart, he could see her bathed in the moonlight coming in from his window. 'Wow', he thought. He pulled her back down as she sat over him working on unbuttoning his pants. The two spent almost the whole night making up for lost time.

The next morning, Petra opened her eyes to find herself in Levi's arms. She looked up at him and brushed her hand across his facing, waking him up. He blinked his eyes open.

"How are you awake this early? It's not like we got much sleep last night", Levi teased her. Petra giggled as she kissed his hand.

"Last night was amazing, wasn't it?", Petra asked him.

"I'd say it was the best night yet. We had a lot of time to make up for", Levi responded as he brushed the hair off of her face.

"I agree", she said, "So what meetings do you have today?", Petra asked.

"None. I literally have nothing to do today", Levi told her. Petra smiled as she sat up to kiss Levi.

"So are you still leaving?", he asked.

"Does this answer your question", Petra said as she crawled on top of him and kissed him once again, deeper than before. When they broke apart, Levi placed his hand on her cheek to admire her once more.

"I love you, Petra"

"I love you too, Levi".

A/N: There you have it. I hope everyone was happy with the ending. I, of course, made it happy because I love a good happy ending. Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me from the beginning. I had read almost all the Levi and Petra fan fics I could find so I decided to write my own because why not. I am not the best writer but I had fun doing this. I still plan to release an epilogue of course so be on the lookout for that. These are two of my favorite characters from AOT so I really enjoyed writing about them. I hope you guys enjoyed it as well! Thank you again to everyone who has stuck with me and commented on my posts! I love you all! Also, I might make a sequel story to this but it would be a little while, I need a break from writing, I also have to figure out what it would be about.
