lost, she was in his hues of hickory, her own irises running through his fields of amber. the upward curve of his lips caused her own to subconsciously smile, eyes relishing the view of ben solo. his hand that outstretched towards her shone underneath the small lantern light of her hut, effect dramatized underneath her eyesight.
seconds felt like lightyears, as if she were sitting and simply staring at the boy before her for an entire lifetime. her irises simply could not pry themselves away- or to put it simply, she didn't want to look away. ben solo sure was a sight for sore eyes, he was like staring at the moon- mesmerizing, dark, and beautiful.
although, ben solo wasn't the patient type- no, not at all- which was why she wasn't surprised when the hand that had been awaiting hers for moments now grasped at her forearm, hoisting her body up from off of the ground. flames seared her cheeks at this, embarrassed by how reluctant and idiotic she must've seemed.
"come on kenobi, i know i'm pretty but we don't have all night," he chuckled, the pad of his thumb soothing over her cheek, swiping mischievous strands of hair that had fallen loose over her face behind her ear. "you have more than enough time to stare at me."
his teasing remark caused the wrinkle in her brow, the grimace that had overtaken the canvas of her face, the gritting of her teeth.
damn you ben solo, damn you for being such a tease.
"later."
her eyes rolled in their sockets as he guided her out of her hut, knees bending and heads laying low, in hopes of not being caught by master skywalker- or anyone for that matter. his palm glided over her skin, venturing over the meadows of her arm before his fingers found refuge interlocked with hers, head facing backwards for just half a second to smile at her.
"ben, where are we going?" she inquired, quietly underneath her breath as they tip-toed their way out of camp, the temple soon nowhere in sight behind them. finally, after being hunched over for so long, the pair stood up straighter, grimacing at their already sore backs.
"'patience, you must have, little one,'" ben sniggered, the pad of his forefinger tapping against the tip of her nose as he impersonated master skywalker, a giggle of her own emitting from her lips. "or something like that."
darkness engulfed either of them, although her hand was enveloped in his, she could hardly make out the silhouette of his form. her feet scurried faster against the ground below in hopes of meeting up side by side with him, irises glancing up at the looming moon above. it's shape was crescent, like a taunting grin as it eavesdropped on their sneaking around, it's smile almost feeling like it was mocking them.
his grip tightened on her hand as he slithered through a small crook, guiding her through, his opposite hand wrapped around the hilt of his saber, igniting the blue plasma sword for light. the toe of their shoes kicked rocks and pebbles underneath their feet, the grass underneath their feet appearing blue underneath the radiance of his lightsaber. her hand subconsciously grazed over her waist where her saber usually would be, if she hadn't been trying to sleep before ben whisked her away and into the night.
her tongue rolled in her mouth, her teeth sinking into the soft patty of flesh to suppress the urge to ask how close they were to their destination. the icy gaze of the moon frosted her skin and littered it with goosebumps, her body trembling as she tugged herself closer to ben, nuzzling into his side in search for some type of warmth. he glimpsed down at the girl burying her nose into his shoulder, his arm draping itself around her shoulders, fingers reaching for her own once again.
