Jaiden's POV

I wake up with Drew by my side. I shake my head, and I look at him. I have my pajama bottoms and a tank top on so I know nothing happened, but I don't remember letting Drew stay here. I crawl out of bed, splashing some water on my face before reaching for my phone. I have three messages from Maddi that I don't want to check because I know what they will say. 'Where are you?' 'How's the date going?' 'Think you are going to you know?'

All of the standard Maddi date questions. I rub my hands over my face, and then pull my hair into a ponytail, pull on Drew's soft blue sweatshirt, pull on my black boots, and run down to the room where they serve breakfast for coffee.

My phone buzzes while I am in line, and I see that it is from Kyle. That is the last thing that I need. Kyle saying that he wants to meet me or that he needs to see me. No. My patience runs thin as I wait in the longest coffee line of my life.

Drew's POV

I wake up in my surf shorts in Jaiden's bed. I race through my recollections of last night, to result in the fact that nothing happened. All right, I am safe. I slowly get up and make my way to the bathroom. Jaiden in gone and so is my sweatshirt. I shrug and look at my phone. Nothing from anybody. I look at the texts that I sent last night and they were all to Jaiden.

"Hey, can I come over?" "Are you okay?" "I miss you."

What? I must've been crazy to think that this was alright.

Jaiden's POV

I grab a couple of coffee mugs and the people ahead of me look at me. I just continue to fill my mugs and add creamer to mine. I grab a cup of fruit and a couple of bagels and cream chesse before going back up to my room.

When I get there, I bump the door with my foot and in a matter of seconds I hear footsteps and I see Drew in the doorway. I smile and push past him to set our breakfast down on the table.

"Okay. I got fruit cups, bagels, cream cheese, and coffee. I didn't know if you liked creamer in your coffee or not so I just left it black. How did you sleep?"

"Good. I thought you ditched me though." he laughs kissing my cheek, his breath hot on my skin.

I inhale his musky scent when he hugs me, feeling his soft hands on my back, when he pulls me closer to kiss him.

"What do you want to do today?" I ask taking a sip of coffee.

"I don't know. I thought we would just stay here and watch tv all day. But now that sounds boring."

"Why don't we do a little shopping and then go to a really cool restaurant I have found."  I bring up.

"Okay. I don't care as long as I am near you." my heart melts and I kiss him, smiling as he blushes.

Drew POV

We eat our breakfast and I am forced to go back to my suite so that Jaiden can get dressed. When, she is done getting dressed in patterned shorts and a white tank top, with her favorite sandals and hipster sunglasses. I looped my arm around my waist as we walk out of the hotel into the crowded streets of LA.

We walk towards a Hollister store and I stop in my tracks. No Hollister. Absolutely not.

"Come on. We are going to the surf store next to it. I thought we could get you some new swim trunks, a couple of boards, and then we could hit the waves." She smiles and I can see the strings of her swimsuit.

"I am game." I say as I chase her to the store, swooping her up in my arms and kissing her.

Jaiden's POV

I get a surfboard that is really cool and Drew gets new swim trunks for himself. He slips them on in the dressing room, we pay for them, and then go to the beach just outside. I laugh when he takes his shirt off and I take my tanktop off to reveal my swimsuit. He kisses me once more and thten rushes to the waves.

I chase after him, and when I get into the water, my surfer instincts kick in and all of a sudden, I am paddling alongside him.

"I didn't know you could surf so well." he says, clearly surprised.

"Yeah. There is some stuff that you just have to get away from. Surfing? It's my escape. Plus, I skateboard everywhere so this is my favorite thing to do."

"You skateboard?" he says, shocked, as a huge wave comes up.

"Yep. I'm pretty good at it too." I start to ride the wave leaving him alone in the water.

When the wave is done, I look behind me and I can't see him.

"Drew?" I paddle over to where I saw him, and dive under. I feel him start to grab at my legs and I fold my hands in his, pulling him up with me.

"Hurry up! We have to get out of here." He says, when we come back up.

He grabs my hand and we start to paddle, surfboards in tow. We get back to the beach and I look at Drew who is white as a sheet.

"What just happened?" I ask him.

"Shark." he looks down at his leg where there were bite marks and his leg had started to bleed.

I gasp and he steps closer to me closing my gasp with a kiss. He stares at me and smiles. I hug him tightly feeling my body shake against his.

"Don't scare me like that."

"I didn't do it on purpose babe. But, I'm going to be fine." He kisses the top of my head.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"Of course. Let's go." he kisses me once more, and I taste the salt on his lips as he picks me up.

There are some things that I could not live without and he is one of them.
