Toni kept me up for most of the night because she is sick. At 4 am I was finally able to get her back to sleep. I tried to feed her but she wasn't hungry so I just walked around the house bouncing her until she fell asleep. She was very whiny yesterday, but also on and off sleep. Right now she is sleep, so while she's asleep I am going to go take a shower. It is currently 1pm, so she will be up soon for me to feed her, hopefully. By the way she's only 5 months old.

1 hour later

It is now 2 pm and I just finished getting dressed for the day, and now I am going to go wake Toni up and give her a bath. As I walked into Toni's nursery, she was in her crib wide awake and babbling. "Good afternoon, baby girl" I say as I pick her up out of her crib. She stares into my eyes and smiles at me. I have the most precious daughter ever, I love her so much.

I had ran her bath water already, so now I'm currently getting ready to put her in the bath. She immediately started splashing water everywhere and laughing. "You like the water, baby girl?" I say as I start tickling a giggling Toni. I'm kind of glad she's doing okay now then she did last night. After a few more minutes, I wash her hair and body, then I take her to my room.

As I'm getting Toni dressed, Betty and Veronica texted me asking if Toni and I would like to hang out today. I told them we could since we had nothing else planned today. "You want to hang out with B and V today, baby girl?" I say as I smile at my daughter and she smiles as well.

Eventually I finished getting Toni dressed and she started to whine a little while also pulling at my shirt. Normally I feed her as soon as she wakes up but I forgot so I know she's definitely hungry. "Are you hungry, baby girl?" I said kissing her cheek, then she started becoming agitated waiting for her feed, so I hurried downstairs and grabbed a fruit bowl to eat while I fed her.

Before I got a chance to sit down and feed Toni, she started screaming so I hurried and sat down on the couch and pulled up my shirt and she immediately latched on to eat.

About 20 minutes later Toni finished eating and B and V arrived over. As soon as I let them in, Veronica rushed over to grab Toni off of her play mat.

"Hey mija" Veronica said to Toni as she giggled. "Well hello to you too" I say to Veronica. "Someone's happy to see the baby" Betty says. "Look it's been a while since we last saw her, I missed her" Veronica said. "Clearly" I say.

We sat on the couch and started to catch up, every once in a while they check up on me. More so of the fact that I and Toni's dad aren't together anymore. When I told him I was pregnant with Toni, he just up and left me by myself and we haven't talked since. He's never even met Toni and neither has his family.

"So how have you been?" Veronica asked. "I've been fine, just focusing on Toni and trying to keep her as happy as possible" I say. "Cheryl it's okay to still be upset" Betty said. "It's hard to not be upset when your daughters dad wants nothing to do with her" I say. "I understand but you can't beat yourself up about it, I mean look at Toni, she's the happiest baby I know and she has a very strong and awesome mother taking very good care of her" Veronica said. "Thanks V" I say.

As Betty, Veronica and I continue our conversation, Toni starts to whine. I walked up to her and she is burning up. Eventually she started crying, so I took her pants off and went to sit on the couch with her. She continued to cry so I grabbed her pacifier and gave it to her making her calm down a little bit. Then I started to rock her until she fell asleep.

After a few minutes, Toni fell asleep so I took her to her room and grabbed one of the baby monitors for when she wakes up. When I got downstairs Veronica and Betty were just staring at me. "What?" I say. "We're just really proud of you, that's all" Betty says. "Um.. I'm confused" I say. "Cheryl, we are saying that you are a really good mother to Toni and ever since the break up between you and Toni's dad you have never gave up. You kept fighting. Not only for you, but for Toni as well." Veronica says. "Well I mean even though I was so upset, I can't let Toni see me like that. Thanks though... a lot. I love Toni to death and I will do any and everything to keep her happy no matter what. She deserves the world and I am going to give her that" I say.

2 hours later

Toni woke up about an hour ago literally screaming, so I went to go pick her up and she was all hot and sweaty. "Baby girl, are you still not feeling well?" I say trying to comfort a screaming Toni. She screamed even louder, making Betty and Veronica rush upstairs and seeing what the problem is. "What's wrong with the baby?" Betty asked. "She's been sick for a few days with a cold and now I think it has gotten worse" I say. "Cheryl, you need to take her to the hospital" Betty say. "Okay" I say.

After getting Toni dressed and everything we were finally on our way to the hospital. Due to Toni still screaming and crying, I sat in the backseat with her while Betty drove us to the hospital. "Hey baby girl it's okay, mommies here" I say to Toni, but she continued to cry. I feel so bad.

We finally arrived at the hospital, so I just took Toni out of her car seat and carried her in instead of taking the whole car seat. She calmed down a bit, but not much. I checked Toni in and now we're waiting for the doctor to call us back to a room.

Eventually Toni stopped crying and the doctor finally had called us back. "Hello Miss Blossom!" The doctor says. "Hello, doctor" I say. "So what brings you in today?" The doctor asked. "My daughter got sick a few days ago and since then she's been sick, but earlier today it got worse and she's been burning up really bad" I say. "Hmm it's sounds like she may have the flu" The doctor says. "Omg" I say. "Yeah so in the meantime, I am going to check her breathing and prescribe her with meds." the doctor says. "Okay" I say.

1 hour later

We are finally leaving the hospital after being there for forever. After all of the crying Toni did while the doctor was checking her breathing and everything, she had fell asleep. I can't believe my baby has the flu, I hope she's better soon. I hate seeing her cry. I can tell she's not feeling well because she hasn't really eaten today besides the one time I fed her today. I look down at a sleeping Toni and start to smile at her adorable little face and kiss her forehead. She squirmed a little and then opened her eyes. "Hi, baby girl" I say. She does a slight smirk and then closes her eyes again.

Once Veronica, Betty and I got back to my house, they decided they were going to stay over for a while to help me with Toni. While they were getting situated in the guest bedroom, I decided to give Toni a nice warm bath and her medicine. She didn't like the medicine at all and her facial expression said so.

Moments later

I just finished putting Toni's pjs on and now I am going to try to feed her because it's been about 7 hours since the last time she ate. Plus my boobs are full, so I need to feed her. "Are you hungry, my love?" I asked. Toni then just looked at me with glossy, tired eyes, so I just undid my shirt to just see if she was hungry and she definitely was because she latched on immediately. "Oh so you were hungry?" I say with wide eyes.

Toni ate for about 30 minutes and then I burped her. Eventually she fell asleep and as I held her in my arms, I just stared at her and soon enough I began to cry. I really wish her dad would've stepped up. It isn't fair she has to grow up without him. He should be here having a bond with his daughter, but instead he left me all alone and pregnant. I don't regret getting pregnant, I just regret getting pregnant by him. Then again even though he's not here, he blessed me with a beautiful baby girl and I will always be thankful for that. "Mommy will always love and care for you, baby girl" I say kissing Toni's cheek.

After looking at my daughter, I didn't realize that Betty and Veronica were watching the whole time. "Ugh h-hey" I say. "Look, Betty and I didn't decide to stay for a while just because of Toni, we decided to stay because of you as well. We just want to be here for you and Toni, okay?" Veronica said coming up to hug me. "Thanks guys, really. Without you two I feel like I would've failed Toni" I say. "Hey, Cheryl don't say that, okay? Rather if Veronica and I were here or not, you were going to be the best mom regardless to Toni! Don't ever doubt yourself" Betty says and I nod. " Hey it's okay to cry" Betty says. "Toni will always adore you no matter what, okay?" Betty says. "Okay" I say looking down at a still sleeping Toni.
