Today we're are going to the beach and I am so excited because it's my baby's first time at the beach, so I hope she likes it. Toni loves playing in the water, but she's only been in swimming pools, not large bodies of water like the beach. I told V about how Toni's dad texted me the other night wanting to get back together and she automatically said no. Veronica and Betty are like sisters to me and have always been supportive. I know I wanted him to be here in the beginning, but now I don't want him here. I definitely don't want him around Toni either, but I guess it would be fair if I at least let him meet her.

"Hey V, you think I should let Toni meet her dad?" I ask. She sighed and said "Only if you are doing it for her and not him" Which I am doing it for Toni. "What if she doesn't like him?" I ask. "Well then that tells you that it wasn't meant to be" she says. "Okay" I say. I'm nervous to text him and say he can meet Toni because what if he takes it the wrong way and thinks that means we're getting back together. I'll just have to see.

I texted Shawn back and said "You can meet Toni."
he texted back and said "Okay, I guess that's a start. How about tomorrow at 12 for lunch at the diner?" I texted back and said "Okay that's fine". I really don't want to see him, but this is all for Toni, even though he basically wanted me to kill her. We will see I guess.

"Okay so I texted him and he wants us to meet him tomorrow for lunch" I say. "Us?" Veronica said. "Me and Toni, but I want you and B there just in case he tries to pull a shitty move" I say. "Okay well we will just get our own table" V says. "Okay sounds like a plan" I say. "Okay who's ready to go to the beach?" Betty says. "I am!! Baby girl, you ready to go play in the water?" I ask Toni and she smiles at me. "Alright girls let's hit the road" Betty says.

30 minutes later

We have arrived at the beach and my eyes widen at how large the beach really is in person. By the way I am terrified of large bodies of water, but I want Toni to experience it, so I need to put my fear to the side.

I'm walking up to the water and as I put Toni's feet in it, she screamed and put a tight grip on my hair. She then started crying. "Guys I think she's like me" I say to B and V. "A lot like you, how about you play in the sand with her" Betty says. "I can try" I say.

I'm walking away from the water and sat in the sand with Toni on my lap. We played in the sand for about an hour and then she started to get very whiny. I know we weren't here long but Toni isn't having it, so before she throws a fit, I think it's time to go. Plus it's getting really hot out here. "Mija, you ready to go bye bye?" V asked Toni. "I think we should go because it's getting too hot out here" Betty says. "Toni is warm, so we better go" I say.

30 minutes later

We are back at the lodge and now we are just chilling and watching movies. Toni is on Betty's lap playing with the strings on her hoody. She is very interested by the string. Eventually she fell asleep, so Betty gave her to me and I laid back with Toni on my chest. Sooner or later I fell asleep too.

2 hours later

I am now up from my nap and Toni was just wide awake still laying on my chest. Veronica came and grabbed her from me and started playing with her. While I was on my phone, I looked up a few times and Toni was looking at me and smiling and I smiled back. Then she started reaching for me, so I got up and grabbed her and sat her on my lap. She started to squirm and then started crying. "Hey what's wrong?" I ask her and she started crying even harder. "Hey baby, you hungry?" I ask but she continues to cry. At that point I just undid my shirt and adjusted Toni in my arm and she latched on beginning to eat. "Awww baby girl, you were just hungry" I say smiling at her. "Mija, are you eating again?" Veronica asked laughing. "It's been 4 hours V" I say with a smile. "Oh really? Time must really fly" she said. "Yeah it sure does" I say. Betty walked back in the living room and looked at me saying "You ready for tomorrow?" I just looked up at her and had this look on my face saying "Yes and no. I just don't want Toni getting hurt" Betty nods in understanding "I know, but hopefully everything goes well" she says.
