That night I don't think anyone sleeps. I know I don't. And I know Jennie doesn't, Yeri sleeps though, soft, steady breathing sounds coming from the small crafted bed we had laid down on the floor. It had been made of a bundle of blankets, and pillows, but she had kicked them all off- legs and hands spread, taking half the floor space as she slept peacefully.

I reach for my phone, laying on the bedside table, and check my texts with Jungkook. In the last conversation we had, he had told me about his break up with Ji young before changing the topic to his upcoming match. The one tomorrow.

Kook: You doing anything?

Lisa: Packing for the trip why?

Kook: I have a match in a week.

Lisa: And?

Kook: You'll be coming right?

Lisa: To see you lose lol

Kook: funny

Kook: to see me win

Lisa: eh idk

Kook: ))):

Lisa: ofc I'm coming dumbass

Kook: fuck you

Lisa: it's jae's last match so I have to duh

We leave at that, and I hadn't spoken with him since. I stare at my keyboard, thinking of a sort of way to start a conversation, when a small 'typing' bubble forms at the bottom of the chat, and my heart leaps. What was he doing this late at night? But the typing bubble stays for a few minutes, before disappearing and he goes offline.
What was he going to tell me?

I can't think too long because Jennie shifts onto her back, her eyes open. "Lali?"

"Hmm?"

"I think Jae will be a good father." She whispers, turning to face me. "What do you think?"

"I don't doubt him, I just- he was acting off this entire time and I never guessed this."

"What do you mean?"

"I came back from Jungkook's once, it was really late-" Jennie gives a questioning look but after a moments pause, I continue speaking. "- it's a long story, but when I went upstairs I heard Jae crying, I thought it was because mum and dad were fighting."

"When was that?"

"Like two months ago."

"Who do you think his girlfriend is? Don't you have any ideas?"
