I looked guilty in the moment. Holding a girl in my arms, her nose covered with half-dried blood. She looked so peaceful but then again...messed up, that didn't stop the fact of her being breath-taking. She was going to be moaning my name by tomorrow night. I just know it.
I held my face close to hers, I didn't realize how close until I felt her sharp breath on my skin. Her eyes shuttering half opened and closed, by the time she fully opened them, she was awake and out of my arms, for the meantime...
I slumped down into the chair next to her, I thought I was just daydreaming of her staring at me since I had the urge of her to finally wake up. I became aware I wasn't daydreaming when she started giggling. I jumped at the realization then broke into a panic, smiling like a complete idiot. I was scared my teeth looked crooked, even though I had braces 4 years ago. I close my mouth, still smiling. But she stopped giggling and looked pretty serious. "Your the guy that was catcalling" She gave me a dirty look, I had no idea what to say. So I just spat out random words "I- that wasn't him. I mean you. I mean me." Why was I stuttering? I've never been this nervous when it comes to flirting.
"I'm Laia Kennedy." A soft voice came from her strawberry lips.
I tried not to stutter when replying "Demetrius Visten."
She smiled genuinely, I just strongly hoped she felt genuine about me. It probably wasn't long until she found out I was a player. I don't like to think of myself as that though because am I really a player if I'm just looking for love?
I must have been so nervous because I didn't pay attention to reality and I saw her staring at me. Looking away when I shot back into attention and noticed .
"Your pretty hot, did you know that?" She whispered in my ear. Tingling my neck.
This has never happened until now. That's when I clicked into realisation. She's a player just like me. "I could say the same." I laughed but not loudly, she probably already thought I was a loser. "So, are you new?"
"Yeah, how'd you know?"
"If I had seen your face last year, you'd already had visited my bed." I chuckled.
She seemed uncomfortable at that comment. "Sorry" I blurted out instantly.
"It's okay. I could say I'm-" She said, but getting cut of by the blaring of the bell.
"Have lunch with me." I asked holding out my hand. She took it, grinning.
As we sat down at the table together, which was already filled with my friends. I got about a dozen comments from them.
"Oooh Demetri scored the new girl."
"Had to claim her as soon as possible huh?" But I just ignored them. We spent the break together, getting to know each other. I wanted to know everything about her. But she kept changing the topic every time I asked about her parents. I guessed it was something hard to talk about. I tried once more just to make sure.
"So what's your dad's job."
She sighed. Looking down for a while. Then she looked up at me. Smiled.
"He cheats." She looked back down at her hands knotted over on her crossed legs.
"Oh..sorry." I felt bad for repeating questions about her parents. But I didn't want to show how soft I was. I was known for my bad side. I wanted it to stay that way.
"Sexy girl with daddy issues, you know who you can call daddy? Deme- OW" Vino teased.
But I punched his leg before he could finish. "Fuck up Vino." I warned him. Laia must have found him funny though, because I saw her trying to hold her laugh.
"We have so much in common. Don't you see it?" I asked, absolutely regretting when she laughed.
"Don't get your hopes up pretty boy, you don't know anything about me." She smirked tapping my shoulder.
"I'll know everything and more about you once you fall in love with me." I replied. She rolled her eyes and scoffed before standing up and grabbing her bag. And it wasn't long before Harrison barged in the conversation and said "You'll be seeing everything and more of her soon."
"I have to get to class.." She groaned after rolling her eyes once more.
"I'll show you the way." I said, grabbing her shoulder.
"I got it." She removed my hand and walked away, quite quickly if you ask me.
Were my chances ruined? Not yet, she'll fall for me soon and I'm gonna get her in my bed no matter what it takes.
Like the thirsty person I am, I followed her. Staying low and turning around. Hiding, every time she turned her head to the side. I ended up giving up on following her around because I acknowledged the fact that there was no point in following her to her class and she was very stubborn.
I had always just seen someone hot and went for them, they fell instantly. But this girl. She played hard to get..and it wasn't just that luring me in. It was the fact that she made me feel different as well, she wasn't just going to be a one night stand, I was planning on keeping her around for more.

Laia's POV
As I got up from the table Demetrius and myself were sitting at together along with his dirty-minded friends, I couldn't help but feel bad as I glanced back to see him looking down and seeming miserable.
I continued strolling to my class, I really just said that so I could get away. I felt bad but he seemed like he liked me and I couldn't have that right now with everything, especially after he mentioned my dad, it all came rushing back. Every fight, every scream and cry. And every time I or my mother caught my dad cheating. Again.
I couldn't bear anyone hurting me just like my mother was hurt so many times. All boys are the same after all. Hit and dip. Only way to go.
I sat through my class and left when we were excused. I trudged out the door, tired after just 2 classes. I turned to my locker which was only a hallway away from my recent class and before combinating my locker open, I felt someone hovering over me.
"How is your first day going?" I recognized the voice.
"It could be better." I replied, hoping he would now leave me alone.
He scratched his head and started mumbling "I- I was thinking maybe you would like to go out with me?" Saying quietly but just loud enough so I could understand. As I finished the combination to my locker I couldn't help but think he was kidding or playing some stupid game. And it wasn't until I closed my locker, and turned around to see he actually looked serious.
"Huh..?" I uttered to him, grinning.
"It's fine if you don't want to.. I mean you barely know me." He turned and started walking away miserably but I could've sworn I seen him smile as he turned away. Now he was playing a game alright, he was trying to fuck me, and I knew because it was that moment I realised, were the same, players. And I was willing to play along with his little game. Leave him in the dust after I get what I wanted.
'Wait! I'll go out with you." I said but he was already too far away. If anyone's good at toying and flirting, it's me.
He seemed nice but I knew what he really wanted. All guys are the same, nude thirsty and virginity vacuums. I couldn't trust him.
If he really wanted me. He was going to have to show he wasn't like other guys...
