Bree's POV

⚠️TW IN ADVANCE FOR PART OF VARA'S BACK STORY!! ⚠️

I was walking down a long hallway. I see windows, large ones, with black frames. "Bree, darling hello!" I see a woman talking to me. "Oh hello- huh?" I turn around and see a little girl running over to the woman. "Come here dear..." the little girl ran into the woman's arms. "Oh my sweet baby, I'll never let anything or anyone hurt you." She was sweet to her child. "Mama, where's dada?" Woah, my mom looks...unreal. Her hair has these purple tips and her clothing was slightly loose fitting. "He's out with some friends doing...v-villain work. Let's pack some bags so you can go to your play date with that girl from your training camp." The mother stood up and held the child's hand while walking. I followed. "Which girl? I know many girls at my training school!" Mother laughs softly. "The quiet one. The Yamazaki's daughter." They continued to talk and walk.

{Slight Time skip}

There was yelling outside of the Yamazaki residence. "HER BLOOD IS LIKE A TOXIN OR- OR A VIRUS! SHE IS GOING TO HURT SOMEONE!" A woman yells, but my mother covered the little girls' ears. "JESSIE I'M NOT GOING TO LET YOU GIVE OUR DAUGHTER TO THAT TRAINING!" Then there was the sound of hitting. "IT IS YOUR FAULT! YOU LITTLE SHIT!" My mother rang the doorbell to intervene in the fighting. "Hey, Jessie! It's me and Bree, I'm here to drop off Bree for their play date!" There was slight mumbling and things being picked up, then the door opened. "Hey! Yes, come in! Vara is in the bathroom currently so she should be out in a second." My mother looked Jessie up and down. "Vara! Your friend is here for your play date!" Light footsteps could be heard coming downstairs. Vara was now downstairs, hands/arms wrapped in bandages, short hair which was to at least the middle of her neck and it was messy, she had oversized clothes on to cover herself. Vara was very quiet. "Now don't be a stranger. Say hi." Vara spoke. She had a very soft voice. The little girl ran up to Vara with her arms open. Vara tried to control her flinch but it didn't work too well. Jessie looked at Vara with a threatening glare. "N-Nice to see you." The little girl was very happy to see Vara but Vara obviously looked as if she was in pain. "Well, I'll be off now! Have a nice time!" The girl hugged her mother and then she was gone. "I brought you something!" The little girl said to Vara and Vara just watched. "Here!" It was a bracelet. The girl was about to put it on Vara but Jessie intervened. "Aw that's really cute, but Vara can't put it on! Do you have anything else?" She nods and pulls out a necklace. "Aw that's beautiful Bree, let me put it on her!" Jessie puts the necklace on Vara and tells the girls to go and play.

~Time skip to when Bree's mom picks her up~

"It was nice having you! Be safe! It's supposed to rain tonight!" Jessie says then closes the door. She lights a cigarette and starts to smoke. Jessie watches out of the window near the couch my mother pulls off, making sure they were actually gone. "Vara. Come sit next to me." Vara nods and sits on the couch that Jessie was sitting at. "Did you have fun?" Jessie says while getting a closer look at the necklace. Vara nods and gets smoke in her face. "Do you like having play dates with Bree?" Vara nods again. Jessie gets done with her cigarette and moves Vara's large shirt that was coving her thighs. Marks and bruises along with some cigarette marks covered her body/thighs. Jessie puts the cigarette out on Vara's thigh and watches as Vara tries to move her mother's hand, while her eyes fill with tears and pain. "Shhhh, it's alright. You're fine." Jessie says while stroking Vara's hair, she then puts the cigarette in the ashtray. "This is the way I show my love remember." Vara nods out of pain and discomfort. "But know this Vara..." Jessie pulls Vara's hair so she becomes closer to Vara's ear. "I absolutely hate you. You won't ever be loved. You're a piece of shit who's going to hurt someone because of your stupid ass quirk." Seven-year-old Vara understood her mother's rage. At first, she would try to fight back but after a while, she started to believe it.

{Back at home.}

"Bree pack your things you're going with your grandmother. You can't stay here." The girl looked at her mom confused. "Huh? Why not!" The mother carried her to her room. "Listen, baby, I don't want you to become a villain or worse. You've already grown up with the madness. Know that one day you'll find me and your father but your father...isn't such a nice man like me. You won't remember me but just know that I love you, but you have to go." She quickly packed my bags. I found it strange that she decided to do this the same day as the play date but little me just brushed it off I guess. My mom did it to protect me from becoming my father. That's why...then there were heavy footsteps. "I'm ready. Let's go, Bree." Mother said and handed my bags to the tall man. "Who's he?" My mom laughs slightly "don't worry about that. Your father is on his way back. We need to go." She picked me up and left the house. Once we got to the car another pulled up. The last words from that house were. "YOU WIN THIS TIME! REMEMBER SHE HAS TO CALM HER PLACE ONE DAY!" I closed my eyes tightly and tried to drift away into my calm world, one away from here. My happy place...
